  1. Nope, but the reboot worked. I purged "other" materials that were unrelated to landscaping and now I'm back at a comfortable 37MB starting point. Landscape Ho!
  2. Starting file size 67MB. Add a whole bunch of xFrog 3D plants and end file size 575MB. So, I clean out all the plants to start a second landscaping option and save a new copy-- -- -- file size only reduces to 489MB. And yes, I "Purged" all those pesky hi-res TIF images from plan materials. So, what gives? Why isn't the file returning to something close to where I started? Perhaps I'll reboot, and try again--right after I'm done listening to this Camel Driver album.
  3. Try http://pcon-planner.com/en/ Unlike SketchUp Make, their terms allow commercial use of the free version of their software. I have dwg and dxf files associated with p.con Planner and it exports to 3ds, dae, skp, and obj.
  4. CA, is there a POC for us to send to Wolf/Sub-Z? A real person's contact info is best. PM.
  5. For OPs very specific needs: Create polyline outlines of all structures in the plan; move these to a unique layer, call it Footprint. Turn off all layers. Move to floor 1 and create the Terrain Perimeter. Input the perimeter data--get the shape right. Add the North Arrow and Sun Line. Turn on the Footprint layer. Adjust the Terrain Perimeter by ONLY moving the Terrain Perimeter via drag/rotation as it relates to the polyline Footprint. Turn off Footprint. Add the Elevation Data to the terrain. Check your work in 3D Overview camera. Lock terrain layers. Edit plan as normal. If a simpleton like me can do it, then anybody can.
  6. You need to build the structure that meets the ground. Here is an evolution of a design process. As I design/build more of the structure, then things start to appear "normal"
  7. Turn off Environment Light and set the Sun Light to zero.
  8. Newell, I was going to say just grab one from the Elkay website but it appears they have switched all their models to Revit only. OK, CA model monkies, (and relationship managers) it's time to update the Elkay catalog!
  9. This one works in CAX9. http://www.dafont.com/dyer-arts-and-crafts.font
  10. It could be a poorly structured font file. A lot of the "free" fonts out in the wild have improperly structured glyphs and therefore, won't work everywhere.
  11. If you're talking about the generic windows color selection tools, then no. If you're using the CA material editor, then yes--save the colors to your user library.
  12. Save to tif or bmp as they are lossless. Convert to jpg/png elsewhere.
  13. Here it is cleaned up a bit. GE CT9070SHSS Wall Oven.skp
  14. Actually, that model stinks. It lost something in the conversion from 3D DWG to SKP. Use this BlueStar instead (It's a better appliance, anyway) Bluestar French Door Oven.skp
  15. From the GE website and imported into SU 2017. I did not change the colors, but I figured you wanted to do something with it. GE CT9070SHSS Wall Oven.skp
  16. I hope you rebooted before you started deleting stuff.
  17. Posting a direct link into Facebook now results in an "unfriendly" link. Old system just had the site metadata title and description. See attached
  18. Ceiling Finish is what I use. I've tried Ceiling Framing and things go all cattywampus.
