  1. The new Ultracraft Catalog the moldings don't work, you cannot apply them and they don't show up in the Molding specifications or in Select library object browser.
  2. Got it figured this out if the cabinet door is standard door cabinet it will not show. If you select a cabinet door from the manufacturer library it will show.
  3. Exported model in a .3ds format and when opened the model in Sketchup base cabinet doors are missing, the hardware still on the cabinet? Upper cabinet doors are intact. Zipped and uploaded to Sketchfab, everything seems to be OK. Anyone else tried this or had this issue? Or why this is happening?
  4. Make it in SketchUp, you can get a free version of SketchUp and make that vent.
  5. When they wrong, they always give the warning to get out of it. I was doing a job in one screwed uptown, I knew it going in that the inspectors there is a pain in the ass...Sure enough, when I had a framing inspection this guy was walking around for 1 hrs n she wrote 2 pages of BS. When I looked at it I said " wtf is all this" he said this is what needs to be repaired...I said now put a code violation next to each item so I can check if it needs to be fixed or not... So he started stuttering and changed his tune said this was only suggestions, I was gonna tell him where to put his suggestions but I kept it back...after all done and said out of 2 pages there was one item that needed to be fixed and I knew about it and forgot to tell the guys to fix it.
  6. Mike, I think this inspector took to many dives off the toilet That is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. Like Scott said to tell him to name code with that requirement.
  7. There are few ways of doing it, you can use benches from the library or find a nice bench in a 3D warehouse and with a little modification, you can make it work.
  8. Thanks Mick! Brosco catalog totally skipped my mind :-)
  9. All molding profiles available online already in DWG file, just import into CA and save it.
  10. Click Here this is the DWG file with the profile you need.
  11. Great video Steve! Thanks for taking the time to share this.
  12. Nice job Eric, but it takes a long time to do this in CA because this software is not really made for 3D modeling ...Doing a quick basic column, etc it can be done fairly quickly, but doing this type of a door, it takes to much time... In SketchUp, it would be 100 times faster to make this door, because Sketchup specifically intended for 3D modeling and they have far more tools and loads of plugins that make 3D modeling a breeze and I'm sure most of the people who use Sketchup will agree. As Dermot pointed out this is the way to go is change the door style unless you have nothing better to do and have the time to futz around in CA.
  13. Mike (Alaska_Son) made a video long time how to create rounded corners...But the video is gone now. Here is the topic
  14. Try a different mouse and you will find out if its the mouse, software or your PC is causing the issue.
  15. I don't think he got a problem he is asking if footings can be replaced with helical screw piles and if any available in the library.
  16. In Preferences >General > Folders... if this is what you looking for.
  17. Thanks for the update...Purchased by who?
  18. Here you go... Not sure why it doesn't work for you. CA_Bowers_fix.plan
  19. Joe is right, it's easier to open an outswing door and you can do that before someone will get to the front door or becomes aware of whats going on.
  20. This picture is from 2003 code. Now we go by 2015 and I don't see that anymore other than the code I posted. There is one more code portion intended for landings: R311.7.6 Landings for stairways. There shall be a floor or landing at the top and bottom of each stairway. The width perpendicular to the direction of travel shall be not less than the width of the flight served. Landings of shapes other than square or rectangular shall be permitted provided that the depth at the walk line and the total area is not less than that of a quarter circle with a radius equal to the required landing width. Where the stairway has a straight run, the depth in the direction of travel shall be not less than 36 inches (914 mm). Exception: A floor or landing is not required at the top of an interior flight of stairs, including stairs in an enclosed garage, provided that a door does not swing over the stairs.
