  1. If you insert 6# in the label section of layout page info and then use the macro %layout.label% it will give you 61-69. If you have more than 9 pages it will start numbering 610, 611 etc. You could also put 6%page% but either way after 9 pages it will do 3 digits.
  2. I was playing around with this because this is like Scott mentioned been requested for ceiling and for wall strapping, bulkhead framing etc... I like the idea of putting strapping in ceiling finish. So when I made floor with this and set joist direction line with auto framing it puts them parallel. I then rotated joist direction line to get strapping pointed the way I wanted and then used match properties to select all of them, at which point I bumped up the width and put them on their own layer - Framing Ceiling Strapping. Turn off the auto framing and rotate the joist direction. This works when you have strapping on the floor joist but not on ceiling joists. Haven't tried trusses yet. Seems a little quicker than manually framing with general framing.
  3. With a 7:12 slope and that staircase where it is I can't see how you can get a loft there. There is not enough headroom.
  4. Doug, where is this house being built? The roof design from your attachments looks like Australian design. I would do it more like we do here in North America as a flat roof with build-up. Will you have the parapet walls or just the roof? With the parapet walls and that truss system will be some engineering fun. The metric part is the easy part, just use metric profile plan and set your defaults.
  5. Sometimes you have to figure out what everyone calls them first lol. Baby changing station https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/search.html?q=baby+changing+station&backendClass=entity

  7. I believe it has to do with the view being a line drawing as opposed to vector. when i tried with vector and live on layout it comes out properly.
  8. If you print with live view I get the same issue, however if you click plot lines then it prints properly.
  9. You should post plan file. Then it can be seen if problem can be replicated by others.
  10. I would just use a moulding line on outside, draw on walls you want and set height. Alternative is room moulding as Joey said and select edge you don't want moulding and "no moulding on selected edge". Simple sill moulding if you can use it SILL MOULDING 5X2.calibz
  11. Walls with issues look like they don't have many layers. My guess it's an interior wall with siding painted on.
  12. Define the wall through the wall type definitions. Change your material there or copy wall and create new type and save.
  13. If you create your own panel as a millwork symbol you could have the 1x6 as part of it. All you would need to do then is specify "0" for newels
  14. Maybe give Graham a shout, he is proficient at raytracing. https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/index.php?/user/4793-thekitchenabode/
  15. RC, it's 4th item down when you hover over export in the file menu.
  16. Almost looks like wall isn't there, looks different than the other two with doors. Maybe a no locate wall with layer off?
  17. Only way I know of is to type it in MS Word and copy and paste to chief rich text.
  18. Was going to add, it is in bottom toolbar when you have stairs selected.
  19. Rob, search "volute" in the forums.
  20. Could just open it in X8 and the save as template. this would leave the original untouched I believe.
  21. A closed polyline with a fill could show it. Do you want any fill pattern or something like the swirls on the picture?
  22. Alex, I would just use regular walls and drag them down or up in elevation or section view. no issues with it cutting out then. Then just apply your capping/flashing with a moulding polyline.
  23. Steve there are lots of ways to do it as usual with Chief. I use fixed windows and then apply glass block screen. It gives the look of screen and transparency. One of the gurus showed it many moons ago and it works. If there won't be any finishing on outside then maybe create a millwork symbol with stretch planes and just place posts as needed. 24. Michael I just tested this out with "material list polyline" and it only gives ceiling wall board. Polyline covers the wall surface drywall completley. You must include the main framing layer in polyline for it to give you wallboard for walls. Is this result you get?
