Joe or Michael probably have a Macro for it , but you can also group select the Doors on each level , Open the DBX and Use the Code Properties Box to report to the schedule the Floor Level . eg type in BASEMENT , then Rename the Code Box to Floor Level and make sure the code (Floor Level) column is visible in the Schedule.

A 500GB PCIe 960 EVO (vs Pro) should be easily enough ( what I have in my Desktop) , save the money and get a 1 or 2 TB 7200RPM HD instead for Storage ( 5400 slow but ok for just Storage , they use them to keep heat down) Possibly 2 x 960 EVO 500GB since you have the Budget....( do you need more than a Terabyte Total?) if the Computer is Raid 0 capable , not sure Raid is needed with PCIe .M2 drives though....

Usually happens with multiple users on Wifi , or someone is using Bit-torrent or Other P2P software , the Router will lockup after a period and has to be Rebooted , constantly if the offending laptop stays connected. But there are Beta Router Firmwares' and newer Drivers from Killer Networks which have helped in alot of cases. The TP-Link Archer C7 V2/V3 , (D7 too) Beta Firmware for example is working great , at least for me , no lockup since installing it last week.... http://forum.tp-link.com/showthread.php?94180-Archer-C7-router-crashed-by-Dell-laptop-with-Killer-adapter&p=195886#post195886 The issue is not restricted to TP-Link Routers from what I read though. The Specs on your current laptop look pretty good to me ? , that MSI one is a bit over the top for a Laptop IMHO at $3K USD, like most stuff here it would cost me $5K after taxes ........https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834154698 but personally I'd spend on a better desktop and some nice monitors like BenQ's 32" models, I like mine at 2560x1440. ( I found stuff too small at 4K ) Only had 1 17" laptop and it was too heavy to use as a laptop for hauling around , this MSI one is 9lbs , so you will need a good Shoulder.... You could save $900USD ($2100) AND get a free backpack and laptop Cooler https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GT73VR-TITAN-427-BUNDLE-i7-7820HK/dp/B0721KY2MT or this one with 32GB RAM + bundle for an extra $100 ($2200) https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GT73VR-TITAN-427-BUNDLE-i7-7820HK/dp/B01M0XG3ZA not sure you really need a 1080 for 3D CAD..... Be aware there is currently an issue with the Killer NIC/Wifi Cards causing Routers to Fail under heavy loads , I know for instance that TP-Link has several models effected by this issue. M.

Something coming through the roof, I think its a gutter
Kbird1 replied to rispgiu's topic in General Q & A
It is just one of the Hardi Shingle Panels from the South Folder , I usually use the Single shingles but for a budget build the Panels are less costly labour wise. (you can check in he Plan i posted too) The Bellyband / Watertable is just a P-Solid , since Iwas only doing a few pieces across the front but if you want it all the way around the House use this method : (quicker and all auto positioned) https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00070/adding-a-belly-band-to-a-structure.html -

Kbird1 replied to rispgiu's topic in General Q & A
For that design , I think I would lower the pitch of the Garage roof to match the Front Entry's (3-4deg.? to shingle minimum slope) so you see less Shingle. Columns are nice but in a budget Build add Costs that could make that front Room bigger instead of a Porch ...porch could be added as a Custom Addon/Upsell , by extending main roof forward and start other RH Gable higher so it picks up the front Door too perhaps. Can also do something really simple , and once again add Upsells like a Nice Corner Column on porch , Shingles and a Bellyband to make the front look more "Custom" Depends on the Builder's budget and Costs locally , I am guessing 6/12 Roof is cos local Lumberyard has them in Stock , so they are Cheapest. And on 1st time Buyers expectations in your Area..... the 1st Pic is probably tooooo Cheap so 2nd pic and perhaps a nice column instead of railing in pic. M. Bella_Storia_Simple.plan -
the whole library? it won't open ? ( works here ) or a particular symbol?

Kbird1 replied to rispgiu's topic in General Q & A
1st thought looking at image above would be to swap the roofs , give the garage a hip and house a gable , so garage isn't so prominent in Street view or make both gables...cheaper to build too usually and a double gable looks nice ...to me at least... M. -
getting the Pattern for Vector views is fairly easy , you can make a new material , set it to Tile ( for Stack bond) or Brick ( Brick Bond) and enter the sizes on the general Tab or use one of the free Pattern File Creators Online (.pat files) and use that. the hard part is finding suitable seamless textures to import to make it look good in Standard views or Raytraces, though there are a number of Websites who do free free Seamless Textures. If you can use Photoshop or similar you could make your Own too. have a look at this quick plan .....open the saved cameras ...you can save the materials to your library but they aren't great for Standard Views as I don't have the needed seamless textures. Hope CA will catch up to Modern Trends with this kind of thing soon.... 8x48 Stack Bond Tiles.plan

CA will do Vaulted Ceilings Automatically if you uncheck the "Has Ceiling" box in the Room's DBX ....looks like you did these manually? Did you leave the Dutch Gable over the front Door area? only other reason I can think that it is shaped that way unless done manually? M. -

Kbird1 replied to rispgiu's topic in General Q & A
Quite the change ....hope he is seeing you right for the time spent so far..... Well you have a Plan to use as a template , change Level 1 to 8ft stud and put a simple 6/12 gable roof on it and see what he thinks before going too far .....sort of like " you thinking something like this ? " so you don't waste too much more time.... M. -

I made a Room Polyline ( room under Turret), converted it to a Slab and then set each step's height and stretched each successive staircase layer out after using copy and paste in place to add the 3 steps..... If you need the plan let me know.... -
I don't have a Ryzen ... so don't use Ryzen Master as I assume it's only for AMD Chips, that's why I'm not familiar with it's uses having an Intel 5820K. M.

Possibly the edge of the upper story Flooring or floor sheathing? best to post the plan in cases like this.... You can use Windows Snipping Tool for quick Screen Pics , it's in the Windows Accessories Folder , and takes better pics , save the "capture" to you desktop and then drag it into the light grey area in the reply window.

Google Drive , now called Backup and Sync has 15GB free ( with gmail account) , I don't use it this way myself , but assume it works similar to Dropbox. OneDrive is only 5GB these days too , now they took away bonus space too

Not familiar with Ryzen Master , but make sure Chief , in the Preferences>Render Tab is not using the MAX number of cores ...default is max , I set it to 8 or 10 on my 12 core 5820K, ( 6 physical cores x2 with HT) computer so I can still work in other programs too. The Raytrace will obviously be a bit slower though. If i leave mine on 12 , things get pretty hot so I don't do it any longer.... M.

vaulted ceiling inside ? I think they follow the slope ...... it's the opposite problem I have seen posted before ...flat ceiling and a sloped soffit eg on a Gable.... so Chopsaw's method will work ...do one and position it then use copy and paste so you don't need to set all the variables again .

Roof Bearing Discrepancy with Invisible Walls
Kbird1 replied to Archnot-Boltz's topic in General Q & A
I believe in this case it is because you have left the Default Floor height at 94 3/4" instead of the 208 3/4 in the Room DBX , and the roof Plane is being built at the Default height over the Invisible wall ( plus heel height). If you change the Default Floor height to 208 3/4 , the Roof plane builds correctly by the look of it.... ( 1st pic) why with invisible walls it does that I have no idea, especially since in this case the wall is completing a 208" high Room. I assume there is a Beam across the opening of some sort , so a better way to do it maybe to use the normal wall with a HUGE Doorwasy between the Posts... or....2nd pic. -
How do I stop roof or ceiling from cutting into room?
Kbird1 replied to Nancyhrd's topic in General Q & A
Surprising ...internal gutter /downpipe perhaps? that's a big area draining in behind that turret... Get the ceiling fixed? -

something like this quick example perhaps.... M. -
if it's a laptop , you may have a low power graphics card if the Standard view is slow...try vector view in that case and only switch to Standard view when needed to take a pic for a Client for example. If you mean Raytraces , that is all CPU done , more cores is better but there are also multiple ways to reduce the time for those like not using point lights and keep the size to 1280 x 720. you should of asked last week before the Black Friday sales ........ any "gaming computer" with a Nvidia card should get the job done ..... but depends on you budget too. I agree, a nice Wrap- Around Curved Staircase would look good ...... I just took the easy route in the Existing plan to explain what i needed to do above... -
How do I stop roof or ceiling from cutting into room?
Kbird1 replied to Nancyhrd's topic in General Q & A
You may want to have the Client send you some photos if a Site visit isn't possible ...did they actually build the Roof that way? M. -
Can't you also Change the Camera View Names as needed in the Project Browser ? M.

I misunderstood what you needed I think... if you are now using Pony walls ? I think you like need to make sure on the Ponywall tab to "Show Lower Wall" not default or Upper wall so you see the ICF not sure if you can do that with the ALDO by turning different Layers On and Off in different Views or Not? M.
