  1. There are more than 100 Chief Training videos on my Chief Skills YouTube channel. Also link in my signature...
  2. @para-CAD - thanks...very much appreciate your comments!
  3. It's time for you to upgrade...I did this for you in X8 but...it was like pulling teeth. You should open the plan and examine what I did...it can be done, but it's so much easier in X14 (even X12 or 13). X8 Plan attached. X8 Bath Plan - Chief Talk.plan
  4. Maybe...you don't use a railing wall. Just use a Stucco wall, then insert doorways, no jamb, no casing. You should make adjustments to the doorway rough opening settings...no need to have a framing added 1" or so when you concrete block with stucco. Had to have a beach background for a Florida guy...
  5. @EmmaCox - You should be able to use auto roof return. This option is in the wall edit dialogue. See screen clip. I can't comment on whether this "glitch" is due to the plan being started in a previous version...but, a simple roof return as you show in your screen clip should work in X14.
  6. @KilianDrafting - you should definitely check out my “screened porch library”. No faster or better way to create a porch. https://www.mychiefskills.com
  7. @KristjanM - am I missing something? Seems to work for me. I created a pony. Lower section is 10" concrete wall with a 2x6 wall on the interior. Upper wall is 2x6 and contains a window. I the attached screen clip...I opened the wall, in the "wall types" section I selected from "display in plan view"...lower wall. The window is showing. This display is independent of using "saved plan views"...
  8. Don't get me started about the stair tool...it needs a complete overhaul. Is it possible that Chief Engineers just do not know how incapable this tool is?
  9. @DRyeHD - Did you watch my video? Creating the space is fairly simple...I think. More than happy to help...but, what specific question(s) do you have?
  10. @Archnot-Boltz - In order to get a ceiling you have to create a room. No room - no ceiling. There isn’t a room below the cantilevered floor. I usually just use a solid for this…but you could use invisible walls on the first level to create a room with a ceiling. This will work but can create all sorts of other issues to deal with.
  11. @GeneDavis - Unless I've missed something, I think the software works perfectly. Watch the short video... Waterfall Top and Toe Kick - Gene Davis - Watch Video
  12. @rgardner …Ryan has a new Mac Studio. He can fill you in.
  13. @Jonathan3891 - Eric gave you the quick answer. I made you a quick video along the same lines... Chief Talk - Jonathon Norton - 1st Floor Door Openings - Watch Video
  14. Post the plan…the best way to get good advice.
  15. Thanks Eric @solver...thanks Levis@LevisL
  16. @2GDesigns - You're post inspired me to make a video...
  17. I have a new video that shows how my "Screened Porch Library" for Chief Architect Premier works with X14...and it works great. It's the easiest and fastest way to create custom looking Screened Porches...and if you are using X14 you can now see through the screen into to room. Fantastic new improvement the engineers at Chief have brought us. Have a look...
  18. @ChiefUserBigRob - made you a quick video. Controlling brick ledges is not difficult...you just need to no where to look. It comes down to defining your brick wall type correctly. Big Rob - Brick Ledge with mono-slabs - Watch Video
  19. @GeneDavis - Not sure why you got what you got...but the fix is simple. Watch the video...very short Gene Davis - Slab Floor at Walkout Basement - Watch Video
  20. Glenn said it...with X14 solids now have default settings. Very nice!
