Just did a plan with a two story round tower and you are right. Tying that roof in is a Major PINB. Have a great hump day, Ken -
I have just placed a 3040 dh window in a plan I have open. It is showing 35 5/8 x 48 7/8. Does that jive with the Anderson literature? I don't have one handy right now. Have a great week, Ken

As said above, ck code. It is called a Captains Ladder and is the way to access a loft in a tiny house. Have a great week, Ken

Just raising the roof isn't going to help if the ceiling isn't raised. That is where you will get clearance for the doors. Have a great week,Ken

Alan, You are welcome.I remember some years back losing some doors and windows with this tool but I think it was improved some versions back. Ken

Alan, I followed this thread at the time and commented on it then. I stand by my statement that it is of great use. Just had another instance of the client deciding that the house would give them a better view and fit the lot better if reversed One click and job done. Then continue with minor changes till client satisfied. Have a great week,Ken

Alan, Are you useing the reverse plan tool? Ken

Have to draw it like you build it. If cabinet box is 34 1/4" then wall has to be 34 1/4. If you have a 34 1/4" cabinet box in the real world and build the knee wall 34 1/2 it ain't gonna work. Advantage to custom counter top is the ability to make it any shape you want. Have a great week,Ken
-
Lower the knee wall to same as top of cabinet and it should work. Have a great week,Ken

Here is a job I just completed a few weeks ago. The house has a roughly H shaped footprint with the center of the H being a high ceiling with sip panels with a 1 1/2 in 12 pitch on the roof. The legs of the H are flat with sip panels with a layer of rigid foam cut on a 1/4" per foot to give some drainage for the Rubber Membrane roof. Have a great weekend.

I see you beat me Scott.

What version of the program are you using? I opened the file in premier x-9 and had no problem building trusses. I manually built trusses and then auto framed Fly rafters and gutter boards and lookouts. Have a great day,Ken
