  7. One reason to use a 2x on top of the subfloor is to hold the soffit up and give more room over windows. Have a great weekend,Ken
  8. My first thought in looking at this is about shear wall constr. We are required now to start osb at mud sill and tie mud sill, rim joist and wall framing together. seems not to work in this case. Have a great week end, Ken
  9. Just completed a two unit building offset just like this. Have to use party wall as Eric, has, said and then Exterior wall for offset and run exterior wall of unit a past party wall on one side and exterior wall of unit b past party wall on other side. Makes for pain for dimensioning and things jumping around. Great week end to all,Ken

    Roof

    Use a room divider or an invisible wall to split the rooms. Has ceiling in the dbx on the room with a flat ceiling and has no ceiling in the room with the cathedral ceiling . Then you will have to use the ceiling plane button and drag the ceiling planes in with the pitch you desire. Hope this helps. Have a great week end, Ken
  11. Looks to me like the Sill plate in Solvers post no 4 over the conc. would be correct, don't thin the rigid foam would give much support for the floor framing. Have a great week end, Ken
