  1. @K-LynnLike Mark said the Chief file is what is needed, not a dwg. I was able to copy over your dwg to maybe get close to what you have. See attached picture and notes that might help you get the terrain.
  2. You can break the bottom of the attic wall and shape it to match the ceiling. @chrisb22 I tried to set it to roof cuts bottom, but it cut to the bottom of the roof and not the ceiling.
  3. You can manually draw an attic wall to get a wall in the gable end if you're wanting it closed in with cathedral ceiling inside.
  4. These are 4'10". The owner wanted to drop the ceiling enough to have 12" for extra insulation. Here is the section.
  5. Chris is correct about attic trusses; I just finished this bonus room over Master Suite addition.
  6. Hi Brigitte, I'd like to talk about your project, and I sent you a message age.
  7. Try using the Edit Area, copy everything on floor 0 and paste hold position to page 1, then delete everything on page 0. 3D solid to extend the concrete under the post. On the stone I opened each cabinet, selected material, selected the stone and opened it then closed it, and it changed. Well after I posted this, I noticed some of the stone changed back to horizontal.
  8. Something like this? I made a copy in place of the side roofs and adjusted the parts over the porch to be separate roof plains. Then set up the roof planes for rafter tails.
  9. @PitMan71I had the same results on a test plan in x16 and x17 bata, it just happens on the right side. It happened in my test plan when one room (entry) has a higher ceiling and the roof builds above the main roof and only with eave marked square cut. I turned in a bug report in x17 bata so you might want to send in one for x16.
  10. @PitMan71In the plan view you can turn on the roof trim layer, select the Frieze molding and edit the size of the Bay. Use the disconnect selected edge tool in the edit toolbar to disconnect it from the others. I'm not sure why the one wall in the Gym is not building the frieze but you can select the frieze on the back wall and extend it around the corner.
  11. @HivelyDesignI would be glad to help you out if you haven't found anyone yet, I actually just did a plan today for someone. Thanks.
  12. @LotzCCTry these settings on the auto roof return of the front invisible wall. I'm not sure why the full return had one side correct and one not, but this seems to work.
  13. That is an auto full roof return set up on the invisible wall.
  14. Check your wall layer intersections on the first-floor invisible wall.
  15. @just3northTry using 2 pass-throughs and set the frame to mitered. I had to place the pass-throughs first and size them to fit the fireplace, then placed the fireplace. If I try resizing the pass-throughs after the fireplace it puts the post back in the corner like you said. .
  16. @MelanieNC contact me and I’d be glad to discuss your roof project. Thanks. Gary
  17. You're trying to put a skylight in four different roof planes and a valley and two hips. That won't work.
  18. @GeneDavisI thought the OP was about the depth of the Mullion not the width. @johnny
  19. Look up Mullion in Help and it shows that the Mullion depth can only be set when a mulled unit is selected. I don't see a default setting for it.
  20. I had that on one the other day and the gable end overhangs were off by 1/4" and that caused it.
  21. I would draw it manually, turn of auto rebuild and change a couple roof settings.
  22. I could help you out in a couple weeks, if working remotely is an option. Thanks.
  23. For the 2nd floor, you have the back wall and the short invisible they are wall marked no room definition, that's why you can't select the rooms. Not sure where the vaulted ceiling is located.
  24. Is this what your wanting? Wall specification, structure and balloon through ceiling above.
