  1. I agree with Mark, adjusting your shade material and emissive value are the key. I also like to add a light source to enhance the scene. I made the following changes to your plan: Changed shade material to Milk Glass (General material, Emissive set at 50) Changed all 3 lights from point to spot (tilt -90, intensity 200) Finally, I added a light source (point, intensity 200) positioned at the center of your fixture (set to a 72" elevation to minimize ceiling wash) and with 'Cast Shadows' switched on Here's what I got...

  3. You'll have to create a second floor if you want conditioned rooms in that space. Select 'Make new blank plan for the 2nd floor' then draw in the walls manually.
  4. You can start by letting Auto Roof draw it for you and the modify as needed. You can also select the walls for the garage and your front porch and mark them as 'Full Gable Wall' (in the roof tab of the DBX) or use the gable wall tool on the lower toolbar.   9. You can specify the flooring, walls, etc as you would in any other room through the DBX for the room or the walls.

  11. The total thickness of your lower wall (foundation) is 8" but your pony wall (lower section) is 8 15/16".

  13. It looks like you need to adjust the height of your porch. Best to post the plan so we can get a look at whats going on with your plan.

  17. You can open your files created in earlier versions with X15 but once they are saved in the new version, you cannot open them in an older version.   18. I'm in search of 3D symbols for THG bath fixtures, Hamptons collection. I need sink faucets, bath filler, shower fittings, etc. Does anyone have these in your library that you could share?
  19. I'll second what DB said, a picture file is the best way to accomplish this.
  20. Try using a glass panel door with 3 vertical lites and then set the thickness of the muntins to you desired size. In the materials tab, set the glass to a material to match the rest of the door.
