'Hired Eric to do some 3-D renderings from some Chief Architect drawing files for a proposed triplex. Eric cleaned up all my drawings, adjusted floor heights and elevations, produced an interior furnishing design and added landscaping and hardscaping. I had a presentation in ten days and he turned around the entire project in less than a week. Final ray-tracing was outstanding. He worked with my design budget and delivered everything ahead of schedule. Highly recommend.' Kelly K, Paradise CA

Here''s a symbol I found on 3D Warehouse... https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/af5ddf24f638a55de1eaadd907cc5148/Cafe-Doors The important thing to remember is if you classify it as a fixture when you import it into Chief, you can easily control the position of the doors when you place it in a doorway. If you classify it as a door then you will need to delete the casing and jamb so that you are left with just the door to position in a previously placed doorway.

That's interesting, I'd be cautious too. If you can't find it anywhere else perhaps you can download it to a flash drive and then scan for a virus.

It is in English.

Use the dimension of one of the existing features (16' w garage door, 80" h, entry door, etc) as scale. Not a perfect solution but it will get you close.

There are several brackets in the Federal Brace catalog which is available for download from Chief. There's also a selection on 3D Warehouse.

In the 'Railing' tab of your DBX,select 'Open with Middle Raii'. From there you can select the specifics if the middle rail.

The easiest way would be to adjust the overhang of the counter in the DBX for the cabinet (in the 'General' tab). If you have an unconventional shape for the counter, you can easily draw a custom countertop https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-01023/editing-a-countertop-into-a-custom-shape.html

shower doors Alcove Paneled Shower Door Construction

If all you want to do is get a seamless joint between the wall and soffit, you should be able to accomplish that in PBR or Clay mode. Just make sure the outer surfaces are aligned. -

I made this from a glass wall, split into 3 panels. For the center panel, I used a glass shower door placed into an invisible wall... -

You can also specify a 'Slim Shaker' door (in the Bonus catalogs) and make the door panel glass.

Check your roof planes around the dormer, make sure that they are not cutting into the wall.

After installing the latest studio driver (580.97), Chief started crashing w/ PBR's. Going back to the previous driver (577.0) has solved the problem for now.Has anyone else been experiencing this?

I had a project like awhile ago. I used solids for the walls (Chief won't do tilted walls). You might be able to use roof planes instead.
