  2. An X15 update of an older project that was originally modeled and rendered in X9... Original X9 ray Trace rendering: Updated X15 PBR rendering:
  3. Chief recommends an NVIDIA RTX 30 series card. Lot's of discussion on the topic here https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/33864-best-gpu-besides-rtx3080/
  4. I have experienced this issue before but necessarily with glass. As Tea Time suggested, start by adjusting the refraction of the glass.
  5. You could make a copy of your glass material for your user library and then assign that material to the window. This would allow you to alter the properties for that window only.
  6. Make sure you check 'Default Light Set' in your camera DBX otherwise you'll only see a maximum of 8 lights.
  7. 3D Warehouse has a selection, perhaps one for your project? https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/search/?q=pivot door&searchTab=model
  8. Mark: Here's a quick PBR I ran with a new camera (I did not see an interior camera in your plan other than the walk-thru) on X15 using mostly default settings. I also added a couple more light sources at the base of the stairs and set them for 4K lumens. To check on your end: Make sure all your light sources are turned on (be sure to select 'Default light Set' in your camera DBX) Increase the lumens and add more light sources Make sure your video driver is up to date Hope this helps - Eric
  9. I have the same concern which is why i use the 3D Cloud Viewer https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-03068/viewing-managing-and-sharing-3d-viewer-models.html This feature is well liked by my clients but it starts to bog down as the file increases in size. It would be nice if Chief provided a way to lock the file for sharing. Another option is to offer the .plan file at an additional cost to your clients who already have Chief. There's been lot's of debate on both sides of this issue in other threads.
  10. Here's a selection from 3D Warehouse https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/search/?q=prunus persica&searchTab=model

  12. Mark: Without inspecting your file, my first thought is that you need more lighting. Why it would render fine with another file open is a mystery to me. Try zipping your file to bring it down to a size that you can post. Eric
  13. I see what you're referring to, it must be in the lighting. René, can you share your secret?
  14. That would be a great improvement to Chief, far more efficient that the current system. I agree that Chief rendering has come a long way over the last couple of versions. This was rendered in X14...
  15. There are several on 3D warehouse, will any of these work for you? https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/search/?q=golf cart&searchTab=model
  16. Indeed they do, I don't know how I missed it earlier. Thanks Gene.
  17. Does anyone have a nice model for a Steinway Grand Piano?
  18. I've gotten the same message. Chief tech support confirms this is the case and to just keep checking, they'll eventually get everything updated for X15.
