So So Frustrated - Deck Just Up And Dissappears
MPDesign replied to HumbleChief's topic in General Q & A
Larry, I found an invisible wall inside your kitchen at the bench location. deleted that wall and no more orange wall outside. The wall type was interior white fill. As for the framing of the deck. I would use a backup file to copy, paste in place. I always make sure once the deck is closed into a room, to open dbx and check (keep framing after deck is deleted.) then uncheck the auto feature. That way my custom adjustments to framing, posts, and footings are kept. -

create an architectural block of the trim, in elevation view with the interior trim turned of, use a p-solid and molding line. block together and copy to your library as millwork. of course you will need to make one for each window size your dealing with.

Boiler Templates Check Plots Rich Text And Text Boxes
MPDesign replied to bernie's topic in General Q & A
Bernie, Cant convert a rich text to normal. Copy and paste into a new box. The rich text box, text style is controlled by the layer. open the text layer and look at the drop down of available text styles. If you need another one make one. -
don't follow, can you post an image?
-
Select your text tool, (you have to do this for both types-rich text and regular text separately) Hold shift key, draw a marquee around entire plan. Open dbx (if regular text go to fill in left column)( rich text go to appearance) make selection no fill. Then set your defaults in your profile plan to no fill, if you don't want it in the future.

AIA naming set is gone, not in X6. Here is a copy from X5 if you want to use. it. I have always wondered how accurate it is to the real world use.

What kind of cooling is it going to have? I would suggest self contained cooling. I used "CORSAIR CWCH60 Hydro Series H60 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler" my average temp is 31-32c, under 100% full load (raytrace operation) running OC @ 4ghz temps are 52-54c This will help achieve the best life expectancy out of your cpu.

I agree with Joe and Barton, go with a desktop build! Also a 55" monitor may be a bit large for the mobile office. The van interior doesn't seam long enough, even with chairs placed at the rear door. Also consider the vibration damage potential to the electronics! If the van doesn't have air ride i would plan on isolation dampers for the mounting points of all fixtures. Carefully consider what you need to accomplish "on Site" I would have to assume the area that you would be building these million dollar homes in, would be a facility to rent a meeting room for the occasional client presentation. I actually thought about doing this as well. Came to the conclusion that it was way to much overhead to make financial sense. my 2 cents.
