  1. Thanks again, Joe I'm wondering where any people from Chief are , haven't seen many here lately. I'm sure they must be busy working on all the new goodies to come.
  2. Yes, that works good, I'm just trying to get the numbering like 1-6 on the first floor and 7-15 on the 2nd floor. The second floor starts with 1 again, could get confusing for some people.
  3. What I love about this is that I can also have plan notes on each separate floor on the plan. I wish I could just number the schedule so 1st and second floor didn't have the same numbers to eliminate some confusion. It would also be great to have plan notes on Foundation, Electrical, Framing, and all the other plans.
  4. Too bad we can't add an arrow within the label spec's.
  5. I use it all the time for Electrical.
  6. Joe, the genius just keeps coming. Thank you, sir.
  7. When I save the symbol to my lib. and add it to the "Place lib. object" it won't keep the same layer I saved it with, it always reverts back to furniture interior layer. BTW I saved it in a new plan notes layer so every time I place one ,I have to change the layer to my new layer. Question, did I have to change the symbol layer before I created the symbol? ps even when I copy the symbol it reverts back to the other layer.
  8. Yes, JOE IS THE MAN. Now watch Chief come out with this in X7. like last year with Layout Page labels
  9. Joe, you did it!!!! You are the man. I got to try this one. What's great is that you can save this to your template plan and ----done. You could even pre set-up the notes for those standard things you use every time. Nice!!!!!
  10. Thanks for the tip, Joe, I'm going to set this up right now.
  11. Look at it this way, you can't get permits with chicken scratch anymore means more business for us.
  12. I hope your joking, everyone else was.
  13. In prefences, you can also change the amount of backups you want higher or lower
  14. Delete the oldest ones but not all, keep a few.
  15. I have spent over $800 for a video card and it made all the difference for me.
  16. Gaming cards aren't designed for cad work, they are for 3d, and fast refresh rates for camera views and make all the difference in the world for me. Raytracing is done with the "CPU", the more cores the better. Chief is a 3d program and has Cad on the side. They have always recommended gaming cards for the best performance.
  17. Usually Chief recommends you turn off import hatching, so my is off. Whoever sent you that must have had some layers different than usual.
  18. I think you have to have a wall in your Wall DBX that matches the thickness of the walls you are trying to create.
  19. I use "ESET" and have been for a lot of years now, never had any intrusions, ever.
  20. Yes, the "SSD" was one of the best things I have ever added to my system
  21. Whatever you buy just get one with the best video card and CPU you can afford. Those are the 2 things that mean the most.
