  1. if this is checked you are sending a new layerset to the layout. I leave this unchecked all the time, in fact I have never checked this.
  2. I have been complaining that it would be nice to be able to copy camera's b/c I'm tired of having to set each one. One way to deal with this is to already have the cameras and sections in you template plan, which is what I do now, it really saves a lot of time for me. If I need a new camera I have to set it up but I have 12 section cameras and 4 elevation cameras and 8 wall cameras saved in the plan and by the way , they are already sent to the layout. Nice time saver.
  3. Just use a callout, put them on their own layer and in the callout DBX, select "Display on all floors"
  4. Here is mine on slow DSL ok for the show but not what I want without going to cable.
  5. ok, it shall be done, thanks
  6. Curious, Can you use p-line subtract to get a round roof edge
  7. You will get better results if you do the "existing plus addition" method for title 24 calc's. Sometimes you can't get the addition alone to work without using more expensive windows and extra insulation and more expensive heating a/c systems.
  8. I use the polyline union all the time for sections when I use Auto detail. The foundation just most of the time needs to be fixed.
  9. You can just add an "E" in the label for existing windows like Tommy and Scott said, I also do it this way.
  10. Make any changes in the camera view, then you won't have to re-do it when you have to open the view again. the only thing I usually have to change is the foundations, sometimes you get errant lines so you might have to mask it with some earth fill.
  11. Here is how I did it. http://screencast.com/t/DzZTrrnXRDev

  15. I would re-download it just incase its corrupt You may have had network problems..
  16. That doesn't happen, the attic is the top floor with nothing on it.
  17. I not only use a template plan for ceiling heights on several floors but also many other things within Chief like line weights on many different layersets and reference sets. It saves me at least 1 hour per plan I do.
  18. What you asked is what I told you will work. Are you saying you want some automatic thing??
  19. Yes, use a template plan already set up for that.
  20. You can adjust the accuracy in the disto menu
  21. I put those on their own layer so you can turn those off when you want
  22. Chief says they are working on it.
