you can , using the "Select same-load same" tool. The numbers are pretty good for me, A couple of s.f. off is ok in my book, and really, its only a problem with the garage house wall, where it goes to 1/2 the garage wall.

I put that info in the title area. you can also add info the comments section.

For those tile walls , you might want to use the "Wall material region" instead of the room DBX--wall coverings. You will have more control exactly where the material ends, The room method ends the tile at the wall, using the WMR you can extend the tile to the outer edge of the curd.

WALL HEIGHTS ARE CONTROLED BY CEILING HEIGHTS AND ROOFS

I use to have a different template for every different type of plan, but as you have found out, too many to keep updated, so now I just have one generic template plan. That is more manageable

Finally they fixed the watercolor problem, thanks Chief

Maybe your walls have no framing in the wall DBX?
-
Yes you can sometimes.

It needs to be checked in the camera view layerset. Have you tried the framing overview?

Part Of Exterior Wall Keeps Turning Invisible
DRAWZILLA replied to 4hotshoez's topic in General Q & A
I put a wall break as shown and it seems to fix it. when I first viewed it , the plan looked ok, then I hit f12 and the wall went blank. The break seems to fix it for some reason. -

Is Framing turned on in the locate objects section of the dimension DBX? I can get it to locate framing but sometimes its hit and miss and have to draw a cad line but I would never use view to cad b/c if there are changes you would have to re-do it all over again. Try to zoom in to catch the framing, it works a little better.

If you want that kind of 2 windows in an automatic bay, cant be done, you must make it manually, very simple to do it that way as auto bays have some limits to them
-
Thank you , my son

You can try different "Roof Groups" to get that condition but not in every case. I usually do it manually by dragging the under roof to the plate line. No jack rafters in Calif. unless its a bearing jack.
-
There are times I use this method but somehow it will select something else and won't open the correct edit DBX.

Every 3d object has a 2d cad block associated to it. What you see on the plan is the 2d cad block associated to it. You must select the object to get the answer to ,what cad block is associated to it, then once you know the answer, you can then just open "cad block management " tool and change it to the new cad block. I'm sure there is a video on it at Chief.

I think I can just re-size it and use it for the 6" x 14" vents and the 18" x 24" underfloor access.
