Curious, Why Aren't Interior Walls Created On A Separate Layer?
DRAWZILLA replied to Nicinus's topic in General Q & A
I totally forgot about saving walls to the lib. It works, except for maybe, if you have a lot of different interior walls, you would have to save each one. Definitely do-able . -
Curious, Why Aren't Interior Walls Created On A Separate Layer?

That's probably b/c you use a solid fill for the rooms. Does the same thing especially for using reference sets. -
The software links on the taskbar has also been disappearing for a few versions now, not sure why. I just drag a new one there.

I'm pretty sure Leica doesn't know how to use room planner either, so they faked it.

Curious, Why Aren't Interior Walls Created On A Separate Layer?
DRAWZILLA replied to Nicinus's topic in General Q & A
I also put the interior walls on their own layer for referencing them and you don't really want them on the site and roof plans. There is no way that I know of to default them to ant other layer than walls so you have to do them manually for now, maybe X-7. -
Do not question Bill, he is the resident Trek guru.

I think Disto did the video, not Chief

Bug! Triple Cabinet Touching A Corner Cabinet
DRAWZILLA replied to 4hotshoez's topic in General Q & A
It must be in the pocket door file. -
Right, I have problem READING!!!!

Is the library a tool? Hundreds of items there.

I'm surprised Chief hasn't fixed the pdf thing for Mac,s yet. I think they said it was a vendor problem and not theirs a while ago. You can re-scan them as "PNG" and that should work for you, or just have them send it as a PNG file to you. I am glad I'm not having that problem. It's nutty.

Jim, do you live around here or do plans from out of the area? I have never tried a foundation from a footprint in fact I have never used the footprint or a cad detail for a foundation.
-
It boils down to this if you want your foundation and basement level on the same plan use "0" for basement. If you want a separate foundation plan use level 1 for your basement. I have so many things on the foundation plan (required in this area)I simply can't use level "0" for basement plans.
-
I do agree and have said in other posts, not to use level 0 for basement's, for those that need a foundation plan. I still want the credit from Keith though. Stealing my thunder is against the law.

Is it turned on in the preferences ?

There is already a crosshead in the lib.

You can copy a layerset from any layerset you have if you want it to look like a drawing in the background, just re-name it to say" reference roof plan" or something that makes since to you. Then you line weights and style will match your plan.

My re-size text problem has been solved . Screwing with hotkeys was the culprit. I tried it,now ,no hotkeys for me. Reset--done. Dennis, You could reset to factory settings or what I've done in the past, just use the generic Microsoft drivers.
-
Dennis, what mouse? I have Logitech performance MX
-
Joe I don't know, it doesn't work for me. Do you have the" re-size default behavior" checked or just "Default behavior" checked? I have just "Default" behavior checked.
-
Also, I use to be able to resize text by holding down the "x" key and re-sizing it. It doesn't work that way anymore. You now must click the re-size default then re-size the text, they have added another 2 clicks--not good.

You can do a room molding p-line to get the base and crown exactly where you want it. I know it would be nice to have it done automatically. Chief will do it correctly on a stub wall, that was a fix in X6, I believe. As you say it does show in 3d good though.
