  1. I have done Safe rooms under a porch within the basement, can be done, but would need to see exactly what your conditions are to help. Not automatic though, at least the ones I have done
  2. You all know you can have more than 1 electrical Anno-set, just create a new electrical Anno-set with furniture and framing. 1 click is all you need.
  3. not a pain for me, The Anno-set also automatically sets the layer-set every time, just work from the Anno-sets and don't worry about the layer-sets, they will be automatic. You can turn on the furniture in the elect. layer set if you want, you know. I just see it all going faster, if you just use it like Chief wants you to.
  4. You just set up a different layer-sets with different scales in your anno-sets. very simple, then 1 click everything changes and is very fast but you have to set this up first. Using Anno-sets is a very fast way to change the way you draw but faster so you don't have to go into your layer-sets and change anything there
  5. I do that also, I thought he was wondering why the cameras wouldn't stick.
  6. Once set up its done, how can that be annoying?
  7. You have to send those camera views to the layout then save both prior to shut down
  8. In a layout,Go to tools/ layout / reference plan files to link the plan to the layout. Then refresh everything or close and re-open
  9. yes , you can set up different layer-sets to do exactly what you want. also use Anno-sets to bring up those layer-sets. search the videos for those items. once you learn them you will never have to turn off or turn on a layer again for standard views, non-standard, just create a new Anno-set and good to go in 3 minutes.
  10. Can't you just change the roof line thickness in that anno-set / layer-set and anything else you want thicker.
  11. I always use plot lines for sections/ elevations b/c I print in grayscale so I never saw it. I don't like color in those, it doesn't print well
  12. Your right, I never use red so never saw it.
  13. yes, just uncheck or check these but you can't have it 2 ways for plans and elevations.
  14. the thickness of the cross section line is adjusted in the camera/ display section of the camera DBX. My camera's show up fine in the layout
  15. If you have to use red make it on the dark almost black side, if you print to grayscale
  16. Yes use the save as with a different name and tune off auto save
  17. I have the E7100i and don't seem to have any problems with buttons.
  18. I use the post tool, and the post with footing tool. If you adjust the defaults prior to placing it works great. No cleanup for me
  19. Glen is correct, but it would also be nice to be able to copy camera settings, and section elevation cameras.
  20. Maybe your internet provider has a limit on download sizes ,but to me it would seem that file isn't that big. It downloads ok for me
  21. But if you use reference sets as part of your printed plan, like I do a lot, you have to use draw first so the floor you are trying to show, will print last and over the top of any reference items.
  22. Ross, I can't argue with that other than I will use the auto roof as a start then modify from there, it's just faster for me.
  23. I have seen that before usually with slabs in the foundation
  24. The use of "Anno-sets" are perfect for that. one click and done
