GeneDavis
This place pumps out a model every couple days and posts to YouTube. Walk-through videos done quite nicely. Every room seen from all the angles needed to understand the plan. I'd like to see a Chief tutorial showing how to do the path and cameras for any one room done like what you see here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_INnPmZUjPU&loop=
DBCooper
There is no way (that I know of) to animate the trees and plants the way they did in Chief. The cottage may have been modelled in Chief and then exported but it's pretty hard to tell. The perfectly flat roof and stonework looks very similar to what you see in Chief (and the most unrealistic part of it, IMO). I did not see anything in their walkthrough that I didn't think you could do in Chief although I am not 100% sure since I don't do that many of them. There are a couple of walkthrough training videos here: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/19/virtual-walkthroughs.html https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/10208/3d-walkthroughs-how-to-make-great-virtual-tours.html
GeneDavis
Thanks @DBCooper. In that second video it opens with the camera in what appears to be floor overview, but I see no option in 3D walkthrough camera specification to get that camera, which seems to have all roofs and ceilings turned off. Rich_Winsor
Nice enough walk-thru but what's up with that reefer? It's at least upside down and backward (maybe inside out to boot). There is no way to flip or rotate it to make the "chilled" read right and if those handles are really down there then there is no way Perry or me is ever gonna use it. Doug_N
Animated trees, water and grass can be done with CA models in Twin Motion.

Looks to be a SMEG knock off or software company generic branding and mirrored cause they did not have a left hinge model. Washer and dryer are the same problem. imodel
@GeneDavis Definitely looks like Twin Motion to me. Mr Rabbit could confirm this. Good camera work but the terrain could be better. They lost me on the interior which is exhausting for not much to see. Definitely looks like a Chief Model the way the stairs don't meet the deck correctly in the hands of a newer user. But, the window muntins do not look like Chief as they are thick. Why don't you email them and ask?
ProPlan_2011
And what about the exterior open doorway on the porch ? Wonder how you keep it shut given that framing. And is the porch roof a slab ? Pretty thin.
Chopsaw
It is definitely not Chief but it is nice to know that other software companies are facing some of the same sort of challenges that Chief is. Nice gap around the front door. Missing attic walls. Short corner boards. etc, etc....
mthd97
Probably not ! No ridge capping. No flashings even though we don’t do them automatically just yet. Chief will usually add more detail. Anyway nice little farm house 3D render presentation.
