I just upgraded to X10 and all of my text boxes are misaligned so once I have finished writing my text and press OK to go back to floor plan view, I can only see half of the text. The text is also misaligned with the white background of the text box. The white background is where it should be. I have even tried to change the layer and alter it as a custom text size to see if it was a setting issue but it is the same problem for all layers.
I have run into a repeatable issue when using rich text.
Whenever I am creating a note that specifies IRC code I typically bold and underline the top line, then leave the rest as regular text. I noticed that chief architect defaults the font color as a good-looking dark blue. When I select all the text in the window and then change the color from original chief architect blue to black, all of the text not only changes to black but it also becomes bold and underlined like the original first line. It's not a big deal other than I have to highlight the lines underneath the first line and toggle off bold and underline. This happens every time I try it.
Is this typical and to be worked around, or maybe it's just me on my mac. Thanks.
Rich Text Issue (HB).mp4
I guess I'm just figuring this out...but, when you place text on a drawing using "rich text"....it will be placed on the layer specified in the annotation set...but, the size and font of the text is really independent of the layer. You can increase the size of some or all of the text and you can even change the font.
So...bottom line, with Rich Text...the layer does not control the text at all.
Am I correct...or am I missing something?
In the image below you will see that, even though all my margins are exactly the same, the actual margin on top is smaller than the margin on the bottom. Is this a bug in X9?
I want my text to be perfectly centered in the margins box so that when I have arrow lines pointing to objects, the line centers perfectly on the text. As it is now, it is aligning center with the box which is not centered on the text.
I did a quick search and couldn't find where this has been reported. Maybe I missed a thread discussing this. Has anyone else noticed this? Thanks.
