capitaldesigns
I am using X-9. How do I add text in the comment column in the window schedule ? The window schedule added the gable end attic vents in the schedule. Why is an attic vent be added to the window schedule ? Thanks, Mike

glennw
Open the window schedule...General panel...Objects to Include...uncheck Vents. Or, on the Options section in the Window dbx for the vent, uncheck Include in Schedule.

A "Vent" window type will not be included in the schedule if the window is set as a vent. The problem here is that we cannot set a window as a vent unless the window is a symbol and we can only do so in the symbol dbx Options tab... ...just don't ask me why. Most of us commonly use the Louvre window type for vents but as you can see, those have their own category. You are free to uncheck that as well if you want those out of your schedule...
DRAWZILLA
You can create just a vent schedule if you want.

Joe_Carrick
I use Vents from the Library - copied to my User Library so I can find them easier (as well as edit their properties). I don't use louvered windows as Vents. I do have a separate Schedule for Vents and I identify them as Foundation, Garage & Attic as needed by putting a code (F), (G) or (A) in the OIP.
