CAN SOMEONE RAYTRACE THIS FOR ME

Harry,

For a plan file created in Version 10, all materials will have to be reassociated and assigned for instance in X8 for the render to then come out right on top of the usual light and material property adjustments. I am merely pointing out that sharing the file is just a starting point to a product. If you thought otherwise, I am sorry but I would assume that getting a good Ray Trace will take at least an hour just to set up.

The best Ray Tracer I know of is Jintu E.P. Montego (website: http://www.jintudesigns.com/ )

You should try to be more specific about the particular raytrace problem you need advice on. As David indicates, there are way too many variables that would need to be worked on to get this plan to raytrace properly.

Anyhow, here's a quick one with your settings (1st pic) and one with a minor adjustment to the ambient lighting (2nd pic). Hope this helps.

Well here is my ray trace. Since I was one of those

kids that never read the instructions before assembling

a model, I didn't bother to read the post. I saw the title

and just downloaded the plan and looked for a saved

camera view. When I didn't find any I just created my

own shot.

Here’s a quick no frills take on a gloomy winter’s day

to match the tone of your backdrop. Your log textures

were among several that didn’t come along with the

plan so I rustled up some from Chief. Other than that

it’s all your plan. Oh yeah, I added the ubiquitous mini

blinds too.

What do y'all think of my dirty snow texture? Seems

fairly believable to me.

...CHIEF WANTS ME TO PAY JUST TO TALK TO THEM...

WHAT!!!? People wanting to be fairly reimbursed for their valuable time!? What nerve.

On second thought...I guess I would be charging for maintenance on a house I built 10 years ago and it doesn't surprise me when I have to pay for repairs on my 2007 Suburban so....maybe it's not so crazy?

Harry:

yes, I remember when I bought ver 9.5 and then upgraded to ver 10

that support was life time

then around X1 that started to change

and with X2 and SSA it totally changed

so if you can find your original license and are willing to press the issue or sue ???

bottom line you have an antique version and CA requires paid tech support if SSA is not active

bottom line you really need to bite the bullet and upgrade to the current version

or continue to have issues ....
