You are correct... however...... I was able to do it but it was not consistent behavior. So funny, the first time I tried it, it worked perfectly, but I have not been able to repeat the ease in which I did it the first time. I think I will wait for a vid from Glenn to find out his methodology and then I will tackle this again.
-
Glenn, I could not repeat what you did. I am not sure if you built a foundation or not. Would you mind doing one more vid from the very beginning to show how you built the walls and then built footings? Thanks.

I opened it again this morning and I still have gutter... weird....
-
here again
-
I see them, make sure SHOW LOWER FLOOR IN FLOOR OVERVIEW is checked.
-
Nice job Glenn, I gave you a point, you method is better.
-
Glenn, it was a overview, I grabbed the end and pulled it along the fascia. I was not exact, I did it down and dirty. I had thought about your reasoning. ( at least one edge does not get gutter). But for some reason the gutter stayed after opening and closing 4 times. I will try again tomorrow to see if I can get it to fail.
-
I do not doubt this, however, when I reopened his SAVED PLAN THAT WAS ON MY DESK TOP, the gutter WAS missing, I put it back in, closed plan and reopened 4 different times, the gutter was remaining.... I cannot explain it.

And here is a dumb video for those that can not understand my written explanation. https://youtu.be/XHLC6D-YNTY

Those darn Canadians, always bucking the norm......
-
Extend wall with footing out another 4', break wall at intersection, define extended wall as invisible, resize extended invisible wall with footing to taste...... do I get a point for this?
-
That is the way I always do it.
-
It stays for me..... but I might be using a newer version of CA. I did close and reopen and it is still there.
-
Maybe they will figure it out and it will be in X9
-
Thanks for digging these up Ross. Those are good vids.

You know, I would of thought my buddy Racklamore would of given me a point....... but nooooooo!...... that's okay, I still think he is a good guy.

Yes, you are missing something. Put in a sun angle in and then you will have an option. Put in multiple sun angles and you will have multiple options. Note that in may plan I 6 sun angles.

Gray Versus Black Texture Lines In Elevations
dshall replied to HumbleChief's topic in General Q & A
Very clever P. -
BTW, I do not think interior casing should necessary for the garage doors for this to work. A weakness in the program.
-
I bet you do not have interior casing on your garage doors. In regards to the other doors, I have not a clue without a posted plan.
-
I think I may be confusing it with camera bumps off wall.

Gray Versus Black Texture Lines In Elevations

Do a floor overview, use material eye dropper and change the pattern of material in DBX to a grey. -
You are correct, it no longer works, it did at one time...... somehow CA needs to work on this...... before X8 I had no problem staying in a room, but now, if I zoom out, I end up in Wasilla Alaska staring down the nose of the Alaskan Son.... eeeew....

I am trying that, no luck so far....... I can't believe how much this utility cost/month. I suppose I am lucky that I can even get this service, but somehow the cost bugs me....

Speaking of customer service...... just how important is it to me? Very important. I just spent 20 minutes on the phone with an ATT rep., I think the rep was in India, I heard many voices in the background.... this is a phone company and I can barely hear their customer rep., anyway my home cable just went up from 170/mo to 270/ mo., I guess their was some kind of promotion that expired, did the issue get resolved? NO. I could not identify my childhood superhero. Now I have to go down to an ATT store to show my drivers license so I can now consider cancelling and moving to another service... of course Lynn is fed up with the hassle and she is willing to spend 270.00/mo. Customer service is king.
