I along with probably many others appreciate this sage advice. However, if most users are like me, we don’t have the time to experiment. It seems that we would benefit if we shared our knowledge. When this beta stuff is over and we can openly talk, I hope I can put together some GTM’s so we can share our knowledge. this reminds me of what I learned about the Mourie people of down under when I visited the Great Glenn Woodward.. All the tribes spoke different dialects so they never learned to communicate with each other and share their knowledge. Hence they never progressed.

turn the corbels into symbols and then by manipulating the cut plane, the corbel will not deform. turn the solid into a SYMBOL.

Thanks guys. You confirmed what I was thinking. I was starting to question my mathematical ability..... if they had been clearer for dimwits like myself, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Thanks again for the input.

So how much area do you think I need in example 1? 144 total vent area or 288 total vent area.
-
Chop, I saw that, so in the first example when it says 144 net free area, that means 144 net free area in and 144 net free area out so a total of 288 s.f.? And so when it says I need 3 panel vents, does that mean I need 3 panel vents total or 3 vents in and 3 vents out for a total of 6?
-
Suppose I have 300 s.f. of attic, how much vent area do I need? I use one of two rules to calculate required attic vent area. Area divided by either 150 or 300 300 s.f. of attic/150 = 2 s.f. of required vents or 288 s.i. or 300 s.f. of attic/300 = 1 s.f. of required vents or 144 s.i. See the attached pic from this web site (roofing company calculator. Does this make sense? Am I missing something? http://www.decra.com/index.php/attic-ventilation-calculator

You know P. I don't think that is an exaggeration. I counted them up at one point and there was over a thousand vids. How much was I paid? I was paid with a higher tax bill every year.... so I suppose all that time paid off. I know you watched everyone of them, and with your feedback I learned that much more. With every new release of CA, my value rises as does my pay. Ain't life grand? Hey CA, when is the new release coming out? -
Yes, I agree, I did not mean to pooh pooh the idea of having a key note tool.
