  1. Well, I for one am confused. I opened 6 cameras and they are all there.
  2. uuuuhhhh...... hellllooooo....... I have been asking for that since you were a Pup....... "the offset value"..... a great name for it..... I can't believe I have not been using these story pole dimensions. I am starting to get the hang of them.
  3. Got it, thanks..... I am slowly getting this dialed in........ question.... This may be confusing..... point is I am establishing a pseudo marker elevation.... and I want that to display true m.s.l.......
  4. I must admit I have not delved into the story pole dimensions.... probably too lazy and too busy.... looks like I was missing a lot.
  5. Ssd the next question is, how do we control was is dimensioned on the inner dimension line, it looks like we can control the outer.
  6. I think this is the answer
  7. Here is mine, O have finish ceiling, how do I change to rough ceiling.
  8. Here is a picture OBO, and it has rough ceiling, I think I had deleted my rough ceiling and I do not know how to get it back.
  9. In 1 file the auto story dimensions to finish ceiling and in the other to rough ceiling. How do I add the one option I am missing to a file.
  10. select wall, go to structure tab and select wall goes down through floor..
  11. Heck fire Bud, I just grab them and throw them in the trash. I did do a quick search and it seems like what I do works... but you might want to read this: https://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/mac-software/uninstall-software-apps-mac-3463412/ oops, Ashley Lynn is not a Bud but a Buddette.
  12. Nuts, why didn't I read "get info"? You are the best, thanks Glenn.
  13. Thanks Glenn but I must be missing something. I do not see the "change all" option. thanks
  14. No chief programs are open. I go to a folder and double click on a file (that is an X-10 file) and X-9 opens. Of course I can not see the file that I want to see because it is an X10 file. BTW, when I say X-10 file, it was initially an X-9 file and has since been saved as an X-10 file. How do I get CA to always use X10? thx
  15. We use a lot of trusses so many interior walls are non-bearing, those are the walls that I would rather not have double jets under.
  16. I wish we could control this. I have sent this request in the past. It it seems like sometimes they get doubled up and sometimes not. i am referring to non-bearing partitions.
  17. I just did a quick vid on it. I thought it was so ground breaking 10 years ago, I am sort of embarrassed now at how silly it seems. Hopefully it helps someone out.... It's been awhile, let's see if I remember how to do it. Here is the link It is still cooking.... I guess.... should bread by 11:50?
  18. Perry, I figured you would remember. I remember that vid...... it made things so much simpler..... one layout file for everything..... I doubt I could find it .......
  19. Good idea, this would work quicker than the option DJP suggests. But until then, use DJP suggestion.
  20. You might want to contract Joe Carrick. He is an Architect based in San Marcos.
  21. JPC probably knows the pluses and minuses of the different programs as well as anybody. The fact you are having to ask the question leads me to believe that BIM is not a priority for you. My bet is CA is your best choice.
