  1. Thanks for bringing this topic up again Glenn. Yeah, I get it now. I do like the Start/End/On Arc tool, I just wish we could use this with electrical connections.
  2. I am so confused, CA does not do diagonal blocking like that.... does it? Hey Eric, solve this for us will you? thanks
  3. same here.... I wonder if he is goofing with us.
  4. would you mind posting the plan.... I have never seen that angled blocking.....
  5. I have never seen that, but look at this.
  6. There you go, Perry has a fairly easy solution to get what you want. Nice job P.
  7. I opened plan, selected two roof planes and moved up a level (for no reason), I selected wall removed cut wall at bottom, noticed that the wall was not in line with wall below, hit the button to align, then select to roof edges and moved them against wall, they auto snapped in place, plan fixed. I am assuming Eric did the same thing, but he did not mention he aligned the walls.
  8. part of your problem was your walls did to line up, hence the roof snapping was not working.
  9. Come to think of it... I was trying to remember what a hardware lock is, I was also trying to remember what points and condensers are used for. I think I have come to the conclusion that both are very old technologies that I don’t need to know about. ”Hey Lynn, can you please move that Blue Ray out of the way so I have a place to put my brand new Technics Turntable. And while you are at it, please reconnect my fax machine”.
  10. I heard they were going to provide hardware locks I. X23.
  11. I think you are doing something wrong and I think Eric eluded to it. The stone cannot be part of main layer. If it is part of main layer, it cannot wrap around end. I also aligned the pony walls on main layer and for the one wall that did not quite fix.... I FLIPPED THE WALL... I cannot explain but it fixed it. I used no psolids.Pool House & Pavilion 1Fplan FIXED MAYBE BY DSH 1.plan
  12. I would bet if you polled all the power users who now use the PLAN VIEWS , they will tell you that they take the SMALL AMOUNT OF TIME it takes to create the PLAN VIEWS in older plans. I for one could not imagine going back and not using them. In fact, even if the PLAN VIEWS could be imported and exported, I cannot imagine how they could transfer between plans with each plan file probably having a few unique layers.
  13. I remember what it was. First, try to paint your mirrors with a mirror material... I bet it will not work. It is not so much the material but what you are painting.... IOW, is that MIRROR a psolid or a slab or something else...... what I am saying is there are some solids that will never take a mirror material.... I cannot explain it any better
  14. also, I have run across some mirrors that did not reflect..... I cannot explain why.... post a mirror so somebody can check to see if it is truly a mirror
  15. You are on the right track. Use the fill and then make sure you are using DRAWING REF SET FIRST. The only issue is the walls below will show at openings.
  16. yeah, it is not a line but a circle.
  17. If I had to guess, you probably need to turn the circle into a POLYLINE. A circle probably does not work.
  18. What is the advantage of using the no room def wall in lieu of the wall opening next to door opening method? The base boards are auto. mr 2.plan
  19. Hi Perry, yeah, I wish we could get sloped decks and "ripped" joists
  20. Slope Deck Railing vid, not a bad vid. what was not clear in the vid was the reason for separating the terrain symbol from the rail symbol..... the reason is so you can lower the railing 12" with respect to the deck symbol so the rail posts hung below top of deck.
  21. Yep, just tested, if I hit f12 and it rebuilds.
  22. I am pretty sure that if you hit f12, the studs will disappear at gable end and you will be left with gable end truss.
