  1. I am glad you asked this. The answer is yes you can, however, I have run into this once in a while when it does not work. Close the program and reopen and it should work. I cannot explain it.
  2. A big thing is the REF SETS are tied to plan views, they are not tied to anno sets.
  3. You did not look hard enough, it is there
  4. Hi Joe, thanks for the ideas, -quick scroll worked well if I knew the first letter of the macro -up and down arrows, sort of useless but could come in handy -page up and down..... page up did not work at all, page down worked only once, - the mouse wheel for me is too slow because of my settings. but I found the HOME and END keys worked great, thanks again for the help.
  5. It is so hard to edit these posts
  6. Macro list is now scrollable? I can't figure out how to scroll through my macro quickly, does anybody understand this?
  7. errrrrrr, YEA!!!!!! But you already knew that.
  8. turn on your roof planes, turn on all auto framing, raise roof up 12" (too low),change your ceiling finish from air gap to stucco, etc Porch Test fix.plan Porch Test fix.plan
  9. OMG, call me stupid, but why aren't you using auto labels? Anyway, this is about the best setup (for me)
  10. Yea, me too, I now think back on when we did not have them and wonder how we got by without them.
  11. WOW Michael, my head is swimming...... thanks for putting that together, it will take a while to wrap my head around this.
  12. Yea, just watched the vid, I think there are more downsides to the XOR but I think I could find a use for the USE OBJECT ON option for select ref sets. I did a vid on this stuff many many years ago, it i always good to re-review.
  13. Yep, if I am referencing the second floor at first floor, I do not want to see wall fills, however if I am on foundation plan referencing the first floor, I do want to see the concrete fill of the concrete at first floor which I want..... but it will also show the fills of the walls above, not what I would want but I can definitely live with it. So this is an example of a ref set using the object on and an example of a ref set using object off.
  14. Good topic...... question: do you guys use USE OBJECT SETTINGS and why and if so, do you use with all ref sets. And if you don't use them, why not?
  15. It seems to me there was a downside to this but I do not remember what it is. Michael, can you think of a downside?
  16. If I am not mistaken, I asked a framer to measure a stud on site and he measured 92.5", thus an even 97" sill plate to top of wall height. This was discussed several years ago.
  17. Thanks guys for the help. This seems to be busy work. 7/8" stucco on the outside, 5/8" type x on the inside, 2x4 @ 16 studs, hasn't that been a one hour wall since McAuthur invaded China.
  18. The building dept. is requesting it, city of S.D>, who else?
  19. Does anybody know who the U.L. listing forr one hour wall (Stucco and 5/8" type 'x' gyp) See pic below
  20. I didn’t know I could save CA files on the ICLOUD without some limitations.
  21. It seems a downside to this method is if the top off the foundation walls are higher than grade , not an uncommon situation.
  22. If you turn the countertops into custom countertops you should be able to snap to them easier.
  23. How about this...... a hybrid of some previous suggestions, put ONLY the various kitchen options on different floors, and then use ref sets to display the various options. Flip between options using plan view sets. this would not require coping the entire plan for each option. However, without a separate plan for each option, 3D views usage is limited.
