  1. Try this, on Iphone go to SETTINGS<SAFARI and then make sure that "MOTION & ORIENTATION ACCESS" is CHECKED.
  2. Since we now have the ability to create multiple ref sets, putting the terrain on different levels is an option. I am experimenting putting the terrain on level zero. The advantage of this is a FLOOR OVERVIEW of level zero will also show the terrain. If the terrain was on level 1 or 2 or above, the terrain would not be visible from a floor overview of level zero. This way it is easier to see how the terrain works with the foundation. It is a little cumbersome doing it this way, I have done it on 3 jobs and so far I do see the advantages but there is some time involved getting comfortable with this method. BTW, I do as Maureen does.... putting basement/walk out basement on level 1. This way any mono slab/footings seem to work well on level zero. I did a GTM with Michael on this and I think we both came to the same conclusion as Moe.
  3. I use a solid fill so it will hide walls below (I use a ref layer for floor below) yet I can see the walls below that are not under the floor above....
  4. I saw nothing in plan. Cid anybody else see anything in the plan?
  5. Hi All, I need a GTM if available..... I need help importing DXF, if you have some time between now (5:37 pm pst and 9:00 pst). please email me at dscotthallATmacDOTcom
  6. What Mark failed to say (and I know he knows this), is he does not have his doors and drawers on the correct side. He should of put the doors and drawers on the left side of the cabinet and a blank front. It seems silly that you cannot adjust the lengths of front and back of the cabinet independently. (you can adjust the 2 sides independently, but I will say at one time we could not do this until CA made it possible to customize each face of cabinet.
  7. I have been doing some in the county...... I am finding it difficult to get a definitive answer to the question.
  8. Yeah, I have a hot key for it. It's crazy that it is not there anymore.
  9. I best this is similar to a scissor truss config., which never behaves well..... Eric's wall with shaped doorway would be my guess for best solution but not sure...
  10. I think I would charge even more than A LOT. I would double A LOT and then add an aggravation tax on top of that..... with all due respect.
  11. I am not sure if it is necessary to send as an image. This was in a post several weeks ago...... essentially the view of the wall remains static after sent to layout. So send to layout showing top wall and then send to layout showing bottom wall and it should stick. Does anybody else remember this. No time to check right now.
  12. Yeah, but there are plenty of folks who put their walkout basements on level zero, and I would guess they would want the area..... I tried turning her rooms into heated spaces and I did not see the LIVING AREA TOTAL...... there must be so mean out there smarter than us who can give us the answer.... I am now curious.
  13. I know zilch about the living area.... (can I say it again? I find it useless to me)..... but for your case, maybe all of the rooms at the level zero are UNCONDITIONED therefore CA does not figure area?
  14. HIt F8....... your color is off
  15. try putting a fence that looks like a railing on some sloping terrain and then export as a symbol.
  16. Lots of ways to make a pool..... I like Tommy's down and dirty method.
  17. Look for the PLAN FILE in the unzipped folder.
  18. Another reason to stay abreast of what is going on in this forum. Thank you thank you thank you Greg...... you made my day!!!
  19. About a week ago I discovered the 360 pano and it was awesome. Now..... not so good, portrait mode good, landscape bad. spoke with Nigel and he said the pano not supported on mobile devices. I have not followed up yet and I am confused as to the point of the 360 now. He suggested I use the cli3nt viewer. I’m confused.
  20. I use Michael’s macros and they are simple easy Peasy to use. I am not even sure they are “his” macros anymore. I used his simple approach to get areas. FARs , coverages, attic areas and required number of vents etc. Part of my method involves a macro naming system that is easy enough to remember. I have been asking for this for 15 years and finally Michael was able to help me out. I have said from from day one that CA”s living area is essentially useless for me.
  21. This makes perfect sense, you are looking at walls and you want to see the floor load from above to understand the loads on the headers of the openings. It is all about easily understand loads from above., Discussion over.... let's watch golf.
