Copy the wall, the bay should go along, now paste copied wall to correct location.

I use a square, triangle would work, maybe better

Railing Backwards In "follow Stairs" Application
dshall replied to JasonParsons's topic in General Q & A
That is true, but I still had some problems. I found that if you not align the stair rail with deck rail it seemed to work okay. -
Railing Backwards In "follow Stairs" Application
dshall replied to JasonParsons's topic in General Q & A
You have a bad stair to landing connection. Fix that connection and all be well. -
Thanks Mike, I figured that out this morning. Embarrased I did not already know that.

Got it, thanks Graeme, I will give it a play.

I am on a MAC. I have 4 independent 8x11 PDF, I want to combine in a package of 1 to end up with 1 file of 4 PDF. I also want to add notation to these 4 PDF such as text and lines. How would I go about this?
-
And what is the advantage of doing this vs 3 cabinets? Is it so it is listed only once in cabinet schedule?
-
Maybe the drawers and doors are one symbol. Can you change the number of drawers?
-
Did you start with 3 cabinets or only 1 cabinet?
-
Is it a symbol?

I started playing soccer back in 1966 before you were born, I played until 1984 when I screwed up my knee. Had an operation on the knee, for the next 4 years I would try to play each season, lasted a few games and I would blow out the knee again, finally gave up and I am now stuck playing golf at a very low level. Baseball is a waste of time.... unless the San Diego Padres are having a good year and that hasn't happened for 20 years. American football is great. In two months a new season starts and I will be spending every Sunday prone on the sofa wasting my life watching football games. I do not think you should start from scratch and redraw, I think you will learn more if you take existing plan and learn to make that work by editing the existing plan. CA is very forgivable when it comes to editing a plan.

Okay Bojan, I did part 3 for you. Initially you did not say you were from Serbia. I guess since you live in Serbia you have no clue as to who the Boston Red Sox are. But you know who Bosnia Herzgovinia soccer team is, they are playing Nigeria today in the World Cup, should be a fun game to watch, I enjoy watching Nigeria, a very offensive minded team. A lot of good World Cup games today, Argentina, Iran, Germany, Ghana, Nigeria and BIH are playing.

Kbird, this is something that has bugged me for a long time...... (Framed chimney chases). I can't believe I can not make it work but every time I try there is a glitch. I am going to try again tomorrow.

Ain't that funny, somehow I thought you were BOSOX, what the heck is BOXON? Is that a laundry detergent? Hey, I will do part 3 again tomorrow for you. Something interesting came out of it.

Agree 100%, a simple toggle to reference something other than sea level. That being said, more and more I am able to get actual contours on line via city plans with topo lines referenced to sea level. The internet is really wonderful. I look at their topo on line, take a screen shot, import into plan, resize as necessary and then trace the city topo lines. But again, being able to reference a know benchmark vs. sea level would be a nice feature, I have been asking for this for several years.

I am surprised the roof did not cut it off.... did you hit f12 to rebuild, if you did, I think the roof would cut off the walls. Not a big deal if the roof cuts off walls, all you need to do is put a hole in the roof platform and the framing of attic walls will pop thru. Nice job if it is truly working. I am loathe to drag walls up and down in elevation, don't know why, probably because I am anal, but if it works, good, but it should not be necessary, we should be able to control the height via the ceiling height default.... which of course needs a room def.

Curt, I just tried again to build a chimney chase, and I do not get it. It should not be difficult, but I cannot seem to get it to work. There always seems to be some minor snafu that does not make the exercise worth doing. I use PSOLIDS for the chimney chase, not ideal by any means, but I just can't get the chimneys to work for me.
-
This is a great question, I have fussed with this on multiple occasions and for some reason it never works for me. I usually create the chimney out of a solid. I know, not a good solution, I know it does not frame the walls...... i will give this another go, it should not be too hard.

Yes, this would be nice, why can't we have it? I don't know, I know I would use it all the time.

Changing Size Of Text For Cad Box When I Check "show Lenth"
dshall replied to agenoarch's topic in General Q & A
It's controlled via the text size for the layer the box is on. What layer is the box on? That layer has a text size associated with the layer. This is the controlling factor. Change the text size for the layer.
