  1. Sure that looks ok. Did you overlay or dimension in layout ?
  2. Yes you can preset that in defaults if you like. Or change it for an existing schedule.
  3. I don't think you can have both automatically. You can turn off the callout in the schedule DBX
  4. This is the automatic way.
  5. Something like this maybe ? And hide the leader line with the straight arrow style and a blank line style if you like.
  6. With textures ? Hummm..... I suppose you could send just the dimensions to layout and overlay your camera view.
  7. That is a bit of a tease if you ask me. You can dimension in layout with the point to point tool but unless your have x12 it will need to be done with the text tool and a mask over the 1:1 scale dimensions. It can be done in the camera view but that is even more complicated and has the same degree of accuracy or rather inaccuracy. I do agree though it is a nice presentation method.
  8. I am pretty sure that you would notice something like that Rene. It must be a new glitch. X12 does not do that.
  9. Just one extra key stroke. Start drawing and then hit tab to enter the length.
  10. You are getting into the other door way and chief does not know how to handle that nor would your framers. You can get a few more inches by using the "Ignore Casing for Opening Resize" setting in General Plan Defaults if the might help.
  11. Ok I get it now. I would go with Michaels method or keep a generic cad block of a cad box in your library and assign it to a tool bar so you can access it with one click and resize then explode.... Oops you can't do that so you would need an entire library of properly sized cad blocks for every type of material you use. Maybe just keep doing it the way you are or use Michaels method. Still fairly confident you can't explode a chief cross box so you must have hit the cad detail from view at some point or manually drawn the cross box from the beginning. But if you manage to do it again let us know.
  12. Would that be a chief cross cad box or one you built yourself ? I was not aware you could break a chief cross box. If you broke a cad block with a hot key combination it would be something that you set up so just a matter of looking in your hotkey listing to see what it there, I think.
  13. Yup you have to have some fun somehow. I even have a custom font for license plates to make them personal.
  14. No only $95 for that one but pretty sure you could draw a house faster than modeling one of those so even $200 would be ok but difficult to stomach when so many things are free these days unless you take the time to consider the hours involved.
  15. So maybe something more like this or a current production model ? Rather high surface counts but extremely realistic. Google the license number and take a look if you like.
  16. Are you suggesting you would be willing to pay to be able to park one of these in your virtual driveway ?
  17. There will be a lot of others upgrading to the 30 series cards maybe someone would be willing to give you an old 980 or 1050 if you paid the shipping.
  18. Are you running the software on a laptop ? Tell us a little more about what version you are using and your computer specifications.
  19. Not completely true. Ceiling planes can get their material from the room or you can uncheck that and define a unique material. Ceiling planes are essentially the same as roof planes and use a lot of the same tools. Join them with the "Join Roof Planes" tool.
  20. The Q&A is not available yet but the presentation is in Video's : https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/5513/what-s-new-in-x13-full-list.html?playlist=173
  21. From what Scott said it was Apple that forced the change in the first place.
  22. I would think you would need a custom fill pattern for that or do it totally manually with a multi copied filled polyline. Maybe printing in colour would make it even clearer. I could never understand why ACAD has a multitude of line colours that correspond to line weights. If the colours are easier to identify at a glance while you are working with the file why not let the end user enjoy the same feature.
  23. No need to delete. Just group select and enter the new label.
  24. As far as I know they have never been linked. I think there have been suggestions that they should be or have the option to be automatically updated from the plan file but I am sure chief has their reasons not to do it. It seems to be a feature that is used in different ways by different users with different workflows.
