Yes see if this helps: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-03090/moving-library-content-to-the-cloud-or-other-custom-location.html

Chief does not maintain the storage of your plan files. You need to set up your own cloud account or physically transfer the plan files.

Thanks.

That seems to pretty well defeat the purpose of a cad detail at least when you use the copy feature.
-
I did, but wanted to be sure that I had not gone mad. Thank you for verifying that for me.

I can't get past or paste in place to work and to be honest I think it might be the first time I have use the new copy function so I wanted to be sure I was doing it correctly since the help manual is a little light on details. " • To create an exact copy of an existing CAD Detail, select it and click the Copy button. " But that make it seem pretty straight forward.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong using the Cad Detail Management feature to copy my cad details to a new cad detail and all the dimensions detach ?

The wonderful thing about this software is that there are may ways to do things although sometimes it will turn around a bite you. There is a default that can be overridden by manual changes as well as wall settings and roof polylines and that is all that I can think of quickly but there may be more.

Take a look at this video and see if that helps: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/5435/using-the-reference-display.html?playlist=100

Layout View exports to PDF with giant cyan blob...?
Chopsaw replied to alexpwalsh's topic in General Q & A
You are quite welcome to leave it turned on all the time but I prefer to just use it as a check before printing or a setup change. -

Look for the Print Preview tool on your toolbar -

That looks like is could just be a polyline with a 1000 line weight. Try the print view before it goes to layout. Actually it is most likely your vapor barrier. -
What is the information in the schedule ? Can you use the Object Information to create another column ?
-
It might even be better than Chief's tool but it is only semi automatic and mouse powered. Waiting for x13 and I may release it officially. Currently in Beta testing.
-
It would be a bit of a challenge but you may be able to use the Treatments > Curtains feature to make it work along with symbol offsets. Or just place them manually closed on one layer and a copy that is open on another layer.
-
I developed a special tool for that a while back if you want to flip me your email and I can send it. Or your file and I can put it on your roof so you can edit.
-
Yes just leave an air space for them to exist in.
-
Sure why not ? Manually in X12 or auto in X13
-
You just get the guy that spray seals driveways for cash to do it.
-
You likely have it set to "Stretch to Fit"... You will need to assign a Scale so they are both the same.
-
So you are using.... And having issues ? Once there is a layout file this should be done from layout.

It does not matter what the source is. Library > Import Library (.calib, .calibz )...

Sorry, I don't Ok. I just was not sure if it is a matter of someone at Chief spending a few hours adding the ones that are not available or if each one would take a whole day of programming so we would be better off requesting specific ones and balance that out with new "ruby" feature requests and fixing stuff that is currently broken.
-
Hi Joe, That takes care of the ruby attributes that can be substituted for Cheif's Global macro's in an indirect sort of way. Thank You. Do you know if any one has taken the time to create a list of the ones that are not available for Natalie @ChiefPlagman so this can all be a little less confusing for everyone.
