  1. Neil, I believe the upload limit for the forum is 25MB so there should not be an issue. Be sure to save the plan file as a backup so that the materials are included and close it in Chief. If it is larger than 25MB it can be put in a zip file or it can be uploaded to your cloud account and then just post the link here. I would be willing to look but Graham can likely provide a solution.
  2. Railing walls or invisible walls and a defined room with a ceiling.
  3. Wow that is surprising based on your system specifications... Have you tried laying out with plot lines and then switching them back when you are ready to print ?
  4. Is that procedure for your SurfaceBook or your Desktop ?
  5. Yes the Floor Surface will not display unless the Rooms layer is also on.
  6. Plot lines are fairly standard for elevation views but I was not necessarily suggesting to switch the style of your drawings, but just to speed up the program while you work and then switch back just before printing. Also as Mark is saying the plot line views need to be manually updated.
  7. If you have 4 other computers to test on there is not likely much point of uploading the plan file here. The one thing I will say is that "Update on Demand" is not quite what you may think and requires quite a bit of computing power to maintain those in layout even though you are only updating on demand. If you can switch to plot lines while you are working it sometimes helps. The other thing to try is a "Save As" but that is not as likely with your stated file size.
  8. Try using the Rendering Technique Options to reduce the Hue slightly. If not post your settings and an updated screen capture and maybe one of the "real" experts can chime in.
  9. My Spanish is not so good. Are you wanting to import or export from Chief Architect ?
  10. I get the blue in the search window but not the other two. Have you added any other software to the systems that show this or it may have something to do with a windows update.
  11. I am not a PBR expert by any means but take a look at your PBR ceiling. There has been a greenish tone introduced in your PBR which may account for the pavers change in colour. This is likely due to the outdoor background you are using. I am not sure if you just need to change the background or make it white. I am sure there are other discussions about this on the forum so I hope that at least sends you looking in the right direction. Hopefully that will fix the sheen you see in the stainless as well.
  12. There seem to be issues with cut and paste as well. It seems to give you all the hidden columns somehow that are not displayed. I will work with the export function for now until I run into another issue. Thanks again.
  13. Ok thanks. I will just have to remember the trick.
  14. That is the ticket right there. I knew they must have been hiding since the column sequence was messed up. Is there possibly a setting that would prevent that from happening on import ?
  15. Actually the empty columns are the only ones that are exported. I will edit my original posting so you can see the original in Chief.
  16. I am not having any luck with this using these setting to export a material list that has excluded columns. If I select "Include Hidden Columns" I get everything, but I don't want everything yet if I don't select it chief hides the columns I want. This is what I am exporting. Here are the results I get in Excel. Columns B, C , D, and E have all of the data that I want to export and "Unhide Columns" setting does nothing in Excel. Is there another setting somewhere I have missed ?
  17. They will snap to a cad line that is at a known irregular angle, but should be completely unnecessary for a square setup with angle snaps turned on.
  18. You would think that there should be but NO. Lots of space in the DBX for a angle display that could be edited. Quite handy for a situation like yours although if you drew or dimensioned anything that would all be a loss any way. So really it would only function as a setup and verification tool.
  19. Maybe post the original PDF and post the one you have as an image in .jpg or ,png Something weird is going on with patterns but not sure without more information. You also need to let us know what software you are using and possibly provide the layout and plan files unless someone knows exactly what is going on.
  20. Maybe run chief for a bit on one screen until all the dropdowns are reset or maybe you will find that the menus try to open on the screen that is shut down and you will not see them at all like me.
  21. Never seen that with chief but my e-mail does it if I have a second monitor turned on so it may be a windows issue. Did you try "Reset Side Windows" or maybe even Toolbars ? Welcome back Mick.
  22. Yes those are all just cad lines so they can be deleted or trimmed back to where ever you like with the cad tools that are available. Saves a bit on memory as well if you do that.
  23. It maybe should not look quite that bad. Check your Drawing Sheet scale setup as Dermot suggested above.
  24. I have always been told that there is a nut on top of the mouse that you can adjust but I can't seem to find one on my model.
