  1. No Sorry that does not exist in Chief. However you are not the first person to ask and there are quite a few of us that would like to see that feature included with the software. Please feel free to post in the suggestions forum, the numbers count.
  2. Unfortunately Not, but there have certainly been times I would have used it.
  3. There are a few users that compress with Acrobat after printing with Chief Architect and it seems to work pretty well.
  4. For me, it creates a much larger PDF file. We've discussed this dead horse several times in the past. True it does create a larger file but you can't seem to match the quality with other print drivers. Unfortunately I think there is a file size issue with the current version of X13.
  5. I can't believe I have never needed to do that before but it seems you are correct. Likely because it is technically a camera view but I don't see any reason that it is not possible to program since you can rotate a picture. So send to layout as an image or as you mentioned a cad detail.
  6. If I had time I would actually draw the Regal hardware and use that gap to put it in but it all takes time I don't have right now. But it would be cool if you had the option to choose a connection type and chief would just do it to factory specifications.
  7. Possibly you need to roll back to the previous version of Cute. Not sure why you would not be using the Chief Architect print to PDF since it is about the best available ?
  8. Thanks Rob, I have played that game before and many others. I was just hoping that I would not need to with X13.
  9. If you are really stuck you can rotate your layout sheet and title block but it is quite a hassle. I would have thought you could lock the dimensions by now.
  10. It seems that may be what is going on. I was just hoping not to have a basket full of workarounds for such a simple project.
  11. Yes nice catch but how does the affect the railing ? Railing is manual to sit on the first tread.
  12. You would think that if that was the issue it could be corrected by reducing the size of the bounding box for the newel post but unfortunately No.
  13. Is this just chief being smart and reminding me that hardware is required to make the connection or is there some setting that I have missed ?
  14. Yes just apply it to a polyline solid as a material set to "stretch to fit". Works great for oil paintings if you just make the p-solid thicker.
  15. I think what you are getting at is that the tape measure tool is useless unless you turn off your grid snaps to use it. This should be automatic if not an optional default setting but not really sure who would use it to measure their grid.
  16. Will tab allow you to select the room after the slab is selected initially ?
  17. That is a bit of an odd situation unless you are a long long way from 0,0. You may need to post the file.
  18. I don't think so without an ingenious workaround. You could use a doorway and then an independently places door symbol with a custom 2D cad block but by the time you go to that much trouble you might as well do it in cad the way it was likely done originally.
  19. That looks like an oil painting Alan. Did you try a TV with a fame around it ?
  20. It is a material you are using and not an image right ? What level of Emissivity did you use and does it work in standard view ?
  21. I am not so sure cement board is the greatest product in the north east or other places where the climate is cold and damp. I asked a question about submersion and got some good advice here a while back.
  22. Yes you can adjust the material properties... Make it General and then "Emissive" It even works with concrete !
  23. Thanks Eric, I downloaded it again and it worked this time. File must have been corrupted originally.
