David, Does "Higher Eaves Boxed" do anything for the situation ?
-
That would be a great idea. Love to see what you did and how it worked out.
-
Have you tried the Join Roof Planes tool ? Or if that is what you are using and there is no way it will work, you can rotate the baseline in plan view or tilt it using the Baseline Angle: setting in the Roof Plane Specification DBX under the General Tab at the bottom. Failing that, post the plan file and someone will have a look for you.
-
Open the room DBX and check that Fill Style Type: is set to None. If it is it could be the stuck selection bug. If so it will clear itself when you save and close then reopen the file. Chief is working on this but feel free to send it in so they can dedicate more resources to it.

Thanks Mick, I assume you suggested that we need defaults for independent upper and lower header "caps" as well as control of the spacing and position of the headers based on your cross sections ? Most of my contractors are now framing the way you do but it is a lot of work making everything look correct for them.
-
When I tried a new window with 2 headers the one label displayed as Eric posted and the other was automatically suppressed but can be activated and moved if you like.
-
Thanks Eric, I think that is what Bill needs but I did not realize they had it working that way now until I drew a fresh window.

Core Library and Bonus Libraries missing X10 Beta3
Chopsaw replied to Kbird1's topic in General Q & A
Mick It looks like you may have to recreate your .ini file but I think that gives you the option to import your X9 Libraries not your B2 Libraries. -
I think the question is do we still need to suppress one label and edit the other when using multi ply lintels to get a proper label. I seem to have to do that quite often.

Windows 10 update left labels not able to be edited
Chopsaw replied to DianeP's topic in General Q & A
Thanks for the heads up Diane, Could you possibly let us know which windows 10 update you got and which version of Chief it is affecting. Also could be your video drive as microsoft seems to think they are in charge of that also. -
So that sounds really bad Eric, Is it ok after rebooting or a total failure ? Was it just a complication of having Chief open while loading the new driver ?
-
It might be possible to zip it and get it under 25 MB or upload to cloud service and post link.
-
Ben that is quite reproducible and it would not hurt to send that in as it is not consistent.
-
Do you have your Sun Angle set in Preferences with your Time Zone ? Maybe the sun went down....
-
Ken, don't you already have one of these ?
-
Well, what rendering technique is that Eric ? Are you new here ? Looks like you need to upgrade your signature of all people.
-
I believe the Public Beta Bug reports are handled by tech support and they will forward them for you. You can also post the plan file here with a saved camera and someone knowledgeable may have an answer for you or be experiencing the same problem and you can discuss.
-
Thanks Joe, I will look into that if I have a moment.
-
Yea, well each to their own but personally I do like it except that it clashes with my desktop and I like it more so I made a new Icon for Chief and learned how to do it properly this time so no real loss either way.
-
If there is anyone else that likes the new X10 icon as much as I do here is another option. Also if you want to keep it in place as you get future updates just change the name a little as it is too long anyway. CA X10 .ico

Not really sure as it seems to work fine for me in X9 with a standard or library window just fine. Are you using a manufactures window ?
-
I am not so sure you will find any standards on this sort of thing other than local regulations for frost wall depth and height above grade for surface water infiltration. There are many many other factors you will need to consider, such as soil conditions, water table, drainage, site grading, window placement, access, and the clients intended use of the space. It will also depend on where you are building, such as a flood plane, side of a mountain, or a swamp. If you study some of the existing buildings in the area and understand why they were built the way they were, that would be a good start.

Use the Prairie style and adjust the lights.

I assume these are custom user library doors that you have built or saved . Go to your library item or folder and right click to export and then import by going to the Library tab in the main toolbar at the very top of your screen.
