  1. Post your file and maybe someone can make the symbol for you if you don't have that option but can import .calibz ?
  2. You can also preset the line weight by adjusting the line weight for your current cad layer.
  3. Sounds like you have not found the line weight toggle yet .
  4. Yes I would agree that the 2d symbols are fast and clear and leave little chance for confusion unless maybe you had a situation like you posted in the Wall Detail thread with one detail and one corresponding schedule on a clean single page.
  5. Zoom seems to work better on a limited bandwidth connection than Skype or GTM based on the few times I have used it.
  6. Open shelving or a cabinet ?
  7. Bob. Dermot posted the plan file for his demo but for most simple schedules you can just put the "%simple_schedule_number%." macro into the Text Above Line Label field of Note Defaults.
  8. Sure, just take a look at the huge list of "Available Columns" and choose a few that are not populating and you will not be using on the project and move them to the "Columns to Include" and change the name to whatever you need the customer to fill out. I almost always have a blank "Notes" column at the end of each of my schedules.
  9. Here is another idea that is a little more precise. Plus I needed to try out my new high speed internet connection
  10. Make a copy of the material and under the Texture tab of the material DBX change the "Offset and Angle" Angle Setting By 90°. Next time post software questions in Q&A please. Click the follow button at the top right and you will get an email notification when someone has offered an answer.
  11. No you can look at his X10 file and advise him what to do if you have a knowledge of how X10 works. However if you change anything and save the file he will not be able to open it. Best if he upgrades to X11 or you reload X10.
  12. I can help you set it up so it is two clicks for most doors if you like, but yes it is a little clunky for something that we should be able to set once in defaults but sometimes you need to show CA that it is worth the effort for them to program something into the software.
  13. It is just a cad mask with white lines layered over the door swing line. If you were going to use this in a lot of projects it could be set up on a toolbar as a custom library tool and be mostly preset to just drop in place.
  14. Rashid, Take a look at your revised plan file and see if it is going to work for you. Also please update your signature to X11 How are you needing to control the post spacing ? Do you want to set a maximum or control individually at random places? 5935 Olde Atlanta Pkwy Chopped.plan
  15. You would need to just fill in with p-solids or you could configure the existing rails and balusters into a panel with the upper 4x4's and it should do it automatically for you. Post your plan or existing railing wall and I will give it a try for you. Also would need to know the height of the 4x4's.
  16. There we go. Thanks Glenn. I knew there must be a way.
  17. Eric, I thought you were on to something good there but it appears that a Framing "Material Structure Type" cannot be defined as None in the "Materials List Calculation". Using "Other" prevents the wall from framing all together and even if you frame and then paint it does not change the properties. Possibly there is another way but I can't seem to make this one work.
  18. Andrew, it should work automatically when you send to layout it will update if you have your layout page numbers entered into the "Label" of Layout Page Information DBX.
  19. Not sure if you would consider this to be practical or not but a similar look can be achieved with current tools if you think this would be acceptable ?
  20. Could you explain with a bit more detail ? Same problem or the misaligned roof planes ?
  21. I have noticed @Allen_Brown active on the forum again recently.
  22. Give this a try for now until chief gets it hard coded for us.
  23. Interesting discovery Greg as that setting should have nothing to do with the problem but it seems you found a trigger that will cause an individual rafter to rebuild or in your case all of the selected rafters. You don't actually have to check anything.... Just open the rafter DBX and close it to get the same result.
  24. Glenn if that really works on a Mac you should send it in as that goes against what the manual says.
