I think you are just trying to get post count to a 1000 with a single plan . 1) You need to get you bedroom 3 ceiling leveled with bedroom 2. Specify floor height 122 3/4" and hit default relative height rough ceiling. 2) Your roof overhangs are off, you need to check to make sure they are all 18", on every single side.

Normally porch is not a "solid object". It is exterior room with a roof above the foundation walls under, maybe some railings and columns. If you do not like the default newel post [columns] and railing you can turn them off, and place whatever columns you desire where ever you desire. Porch may be enhanced with some solid object tools, like when you need to arch. The way CA builds porch is little unusual but it is easy to use, and functional. If you build porch in CA it adjusts to a terrain, and shows in material list. Post plan / or image of your porch that you for some reason can not define in CA. Or just watch some videos.

Your toggle shadows is off. You need to click on that "adjust sunlight" drop down button and select toggle shadows. Now you will be able to adjust. Uncheck sun follows camera, and try changing tilt angle and direction angle.

Movies & TV has number of issues and been known not to play AVIs. MS Group full of requests for a fix. MS either gave up or refusing to fix the issue.

I only used spline method that takes .. oh about 30 seconds to setup. 1) CAD> Draw spline line. 2) Use "3" key or break to put your breaks. 3) Twist your spline 4) Convert spline to walk through 5) Use blue "kite button with the plus sign to add key frames where you want camera to turn. 6) Hit Record button I did get some texture missing but it recorded AVI correctly. Also what codec did you use for encoding? I use xvid http://www.xvidmovies.com/codec/

Current Ruby integration does not allow to change property of anything. You would be lucky if you can READ the property value that you want. Very few properties are exposed.
