  1. I'm not a Mac Person but some of my clients are, have you check the Mouse Settings under "System" . I think it was? also I think it was the Magic Mouse for 1 client that had the 2nd button disabled in settings, he didn't even know the mouse had 2 buttons if you use scrollbars in Chief you will also need to enable them in Settings as well , then enable in Chief too. M.
  2. There is a Materials - Wire And Lattice Bonus Library , which has Chainlink which might work? I know it is use for the Net on a Soccer Goal in another Library too. M.
  3. display of what? a screen grab of what you see would likely help , it may also be better to start you own Post if you don't have the exact same issue. also many answer require information like the Version of Chief to be answered correctly , this can be done in you Forum Signature so you don't need to type that in each time you post a question , see mine below this post. this is how to do that........
  4. A number of my Clients use Canvas and their Lidar equipped iPads, and it can be a relatively good deal, though there are a couple of caveats , one being Canvas's "converter" still only uses X12 for Chief Plans, and they tend to use numerous Solids for objects, I am not sure if that is due to the nature of how Canvas works or if it is just the Chief User doing the Model's, lack of Chief training/Knowledge? the Canvas Measurement Report (CMR) PDF is what I get clients to order usually for smaller jobs ( a bathroom for eg ) as it is quicker for me to Draw the 4 Walls and auto add a Roof and Foundation in a X15 template than it is to "fix" the Canvas Chief Plan in a lot of cases. *I am not sure Canvas is a "Cloud Point Data App or System" like some others on the Market like NavVis or Matterport though. M.
  5. For PBR always add a Roof Or Floor above and a quick auto Foundation, as you may see it shining from under Cabinets and furniture too. M.
  6. Use A molding line Placed in Plan view then adjust height as need , if you want to use it again, in 3D select the Molding and Hood and make a new symbol which will be saved in your Library. M.
  7. Have you tried a different PDF Printer rather than Chief's built in one, to see if its a Chief problem or something else? Over the years there have been a few issues as Chief uses a 3rd party PDF API or used to and sometimes with new releases The API had to be updated. M.
  8. Not personally but this sounds like one for Tech Support Mon. Morning M.
  9. Chief has always liked things drawn in a clockwise fashion, though they say that is no longer really necessary, but is generally still my SOP. M.
  10. Hmmm sounds like it does have something to do with Wall direction then after all......... sometimes in the past I cold get it and sometimes not, and had given up and was just place the full posts manually as it was less frustrating M.
  11. It would be a Kludge I think? as Chief does not allow two Walls to occupy the Same Space typically nor would walls interaction work properly when turn one Wall off by using a Layer for example. Be happy to be proven wrong though I just did a Project with a bunch of small changes theOwner want to see , which meant 5 different Option Plans M.
  12. As MarkMC nicely to make you a Custom Symbol........... @MarkMc
  13. For you no then but for the OP yes............. .........So, I am rocking a RX550 instead of the 1660 now
  14. Okay, sometime I was able to get it that way after messing with the End Post configuration but in the end just found it easier to place the full height ones myself (less frustration) M.
  15. It's not related to the direction the railings are drawn in is it ? ie where the Start/End of the wall is.... you may need to enable that if not already done.... ( it does sow i the wall DBX though too )
  16. I'd think that should generate on it's own assuming a Brick ledge is specified, it more to fix the Issue that Chief has always had of stopping the siding at the bottom of walls, at the floor platform eg on a slab at 0" absolute or where the siding stops at the top of the foundation wall, when in reality it extends down 1 1/2" - 2" in the real world to weather/air proof that joint. M.
  17. Yes that works , you don't need to close the DBX As far as I remember though. M.
  18. Chris is right about it effect new ones only changed there, unless you go to each room and turn the label OFF, and the back ON and it should regenerate. My suggestion though is NOT to use a Custom Text Style but to Use the Layer , and assign a Text style to the Room Label so they will ALL change with a change in Text Style, I have 3 or 4 different Room Label Styles for example................ You should put X13 in your Forum Signature so People know as Answer often are Version dependant..... M.
  19. Do you want to change all Fonts in a Plan? or just the Room Label? If you are using X15 ? ( no Forum Signature ) you can now use the new Font Replace Tool........... M.
  20. You know they never let us know before hand , but my guess is they are working hard on it, as personally I have never had so many cases at Tech support for "Glitches", but I guess I'm finally getting my SSA Money's worth M.
  21. Mine also , but being able to set that in the Dialog would be great.... M.
  22. Yes , using an Airgap Material has been a method for quite some time and work well, Chief has a Video on doing it too.... https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/311/creating-a-suspended-or-dropped-ceiling.html PDF: CA_Help_Special Ceilings.pdf Mick.
  23. Without the Plan we can't really diagnose problems like this, but it looks loke you've found a "workaround" M.
  24. about 2:30 in............. https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/5540/what-s-new-in-x15-building-features.html?playlist=173 M.
  25. Yep , been there , done that too in the new structure dialog
