  1. Probably not it and I didn't have a lot of time thus I didn't watch the entirety of it but it looks like the one that wasn't working does not actually have the "Reference Display" toggle button on. (OOB f9)...
  2. Without seeing more of the design and knowing what is there makes it difficult. 1.) Probably a redesign on that end may be needed. 2.) Remove the gable from that bump out and change to a shed roof that changes with the angle. But hard to tell without knowing what is what and what the layout looks like.
  3. Usually this is caused with too shallow of a texture thickness for the metal thickness. (i.e. 1/16 or 1/8" thickness).
  4. Many ways to do so: 1.) Take a Wall elevation and annotate. Send to layout and crop out doors/windows. 2.) Take a Wall elevation and annotate. Then create a cad detail from view and delete un-necessary info/items. Send to layout. 3.) Combination of 2 and then save to your library as a cad detail of sorts and place in your plans with the size/type of doors needed. Send to layout.
  5. I would recommend you look closer at the two options that pop up when you select add a floor.
  6. Try playing with setting your posts using the post tool to see if they set to right height so you don't have to do it this way...
  7. Does changing the wall to stop at ceiling instead of automatic fix that by chance?
  8. Did you use the opening no material as the wall material and then check that layer as air gap?
  9. Did you try it? What I am showing is a vector view.
  10. Manually adjust the foundation. Use a room divider at the foundation level, or in the kitchen. Many ways to accomplish it.
  11. BTW just noticed your macro is slightly different than mine (uses the decimal instead of fraction with the standard %depth% macro) and will keep the formatting the same IF that is what you are looking for: (%width/1.75%)-1 3/4"x%FormattedDepthSixteenths%" %type_name% %name%
  12. Very nice!!! New favorite link on the bar. Some great links below too. Never seen meedeek before.
  13. Best thing you can do is to report back to the thread the solution of the issue once chief has helped you figure it out. Especially if it ends up being a hardware issue or driver issue. Someone else may have the same issue and searching and finding your solution will help others this way.
  14. Sounds like maybe you should check with Tech support tomorrow. That is what your SSA is for.
  15. Still using a Mac Pro 6.1 like Greg. Works great. It is 5 years old so not as fast as it used to be but still runs chief great and as Greg says EXTREMELY STABLE. It's a solid workhorse. Probably will upgrade this year and am considering a new pro desktop.
  16. Wall set to be cut by roof, with a ceiling plane under the stairs which will cut the wall.
  17. I am not seeing your issue directly other than your framing won't show because of how you have your roof set. What I see is that is causing issues: 1.) You don't have your roof framing showing up because of your structure definition. Change the structure to have just the framing layer and move your insulation and LSL layer to your surface definition. Also pay attention to the error messages that are popping up all over your plan and I think you will find it helps. 2.) You need a 2nd floor on your plan to do what you are wanting to do with the door and accessing the attic. Just set the Roof to ignore 2nd floor.
  18. You are totally correct. I was thinking of beams when placed in pairs instead of using your method. Brain fart on those already being suppressed.
  19. So how do you get in this case the double header to show only one label as the default for the macro should be applied to both and they should both be showing the label of (2) 2x8-Hdr???
  20. Robert a question here. I do the same with my headers using macros as well as my beams. I am assuming you have manually suppressed one of the header labels here correct?
  21. Not Architects but @Renerabbitt with Rabbit Design & Melissa Nunes with @MKBDesign are both top notch Architectural designers in your area.
  22. For example on OSX ⌘Q will quit chief. He may have had a system hotkey change.
  23. I still think it could have been a hotkey issue (marked as solution so I think it was.) My best guess is the delete key got mapped as quit...
  24. Sounds like you should look at your hotkey assignments and figure out which one you are pushing that is wanting to close chief.
