  2. Yes. By using a new object identifier column where you would input "%schedule_number%0" in that value and then add that column and rename it as #. You will need to group select all of your cabinets and add that info to all of them but they can be done all at once.
  3. Walls set to cut by roof plane with a custom sloped ceiling plane works. Or using custom stringers on the side the thickness of the wall also works in some cases.
  4. Post the plan, but most likely you have an "attic wall" misaligned to the railing wall.
  5. Search for "Construction Lines"
  6. BTW you can also do this with drywall by defining your sheet size for 4x8, 4x12, 4.5x12, 5x12, etc.
  7. https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/search/?q=exterior stairs not showing&updated_after=any&sortby=relevancy&search_and_or=and A quick search will find you the answer. The overall consensus is using a reference display of the stairs.
  8. Hmmm... Not at the computer but would it follow a roof even if it’s a “negative radius”? Not 100% in the dbx technically but at the same time yes…
  9. First advice would be to fill out your signature so we can see what you are working with. Assuming that you are using Chief Architect Premier which is what this forum is geared towards I will give some more advice on your need. However in the future this will help get you more answers and quicker. Second advice is to save copies of your files so you don't mess up a main file while you are experimenting (which is one of the best ways to learn terrains). Typically you do the terrain work in the same file as the model. It tends to be best so you can see how it works. However if you are trying to test it out. You can take a 3d rendering of the house and turn off any layers you don't want to see such as concrete slabs, etc. and there is an option to make a 3d symbol of the house which will be added to your library. You can then place that symbol on your terrain where you want it. It is not able to be changed other than painting textures to replace the existing but it will allow you to maneuver your terrain in 3d to see what it will look like. For the actual site plan or plot plan just use 2d cad of the terrain.
  10. If you are in California then you have one of the best in the industry in your backyard. @Renerabbitt
  11. Try a grid of room dividers to allow the walls to snap to them.
  12. It’s possible with the M1 chip with another company that sounds like fector works… But a lot to be said for renting a machine to ray trace with if that is something you need.
  13. You can reverse the camera by using the reverse plan tool and by selecting the cad work in the elevation and using replicate about you flip the information pretty quickly. Another option would be to do a cad detail from view and replicate about from the other plans but I guess without seeing what your elevations look like I am not able to give more specific advice for it. I don't think it is as hard as you are saying to do what you want but that is quite possibly because you are doing something different that I am not understanding.
  14. Very old thread here. But it sounds like you have a specific use case that there might be a solution to. However I am not 100% sure I am following your issue. Can you explain more what you want and/or are doing, maybe some pix?
  15. I agree sometimes an invisible wall just complicates especially if there are some close adjacent ones. Another method is that you set a 2nd surface to the ceiling plane and make it 24" deep and set at the upper level. Downside is that it will not show the lower portion of the bulkhead wall in the ceiling as the other surface will go to the outside of the "bulkhead wall" So a beam as Robert mentions can be useful.
  16. Pretty sure you are overthinking this. Best practice is to print a pdf and print from your pdf viewer. So print normal from Chief then rotate your pdf pages and print.
  17. I am on Ventura but 13.2.1 and haven't had any issues with crashing other than a corrupt plan from a client that crashed it.
  18. You need to break the pony wall and change the curb height through the pony wall height where the door goes adjusting your railing height accordingly.
  19. As Eric is alluding to in his messages there are many ways to accomplish this but one of the easiest is not overcomplicating it and using a single material wall (say color-White) and placing windows with arches and matching roof shape...

  22. Gotcha. Any chance you tried viewing the pdf in another pdf viewer? I don’t know if that would make a difference but id does with other pattern issues for some people…
  23. I would offer to help on this as I am the one that assisted the original designer of this house to get the roof correct but that would be violation of design copyright infringement…. Perhaps you have permissions from that designer to copy their plan?
  24. Have you tried changing your drawing sheet line weight scale to 1:150mm? I find that gives a little more control.
