On a windows PC, I right-click drag the corner to resize proportionally OR use the resize tool.

Thanks Michael. Good to know. If I used CA more often, I'd move on up to X12 and X13. X11 meets all of my needs for now. I appreciate all the support from you folks!

Hmm, what's the outcome on this?

Maybe the OP is using CA X11? I am currently using CA X11 and get the same results as the OP. Where's your signature justin-c?

Automatically Opening Your Most Recent Layout File?
rwdozier replied to M3taMorpHous3's topic in General Q & A
Why not just open the most recent layout file? CA will launch automatically. -
I just have to chime in here. Homes have been built for hundreds of years from hand drawn plans. Plans are now digitally printed and it appears the "ones" are too close together? It's just plain "common sense" for the framer - look at the tape measure, is it 12' 1 1/4" or 12' 11 1/4"? If a framer can't read a plan that says 12' 1 1/4", either train the framer to understand what he should already know or get a framer who can read the plan. If you want to cater to his elementary school needs, just set the plan dimensions to have no fractions at all. Dang, I am totally amazed how pyramids were built to their preciseness and we are discussing "ones" being too close! Just my 2 cents...

Now that is an awesome system!!!!!

Forcing Chief Architect Programs to Use a Specific Graphics Card in Windows 10

Just one example, all drawn with Chief. Many, many capabilities of CAD. Polylines, lines, circles, etc. I have concluded long ago that whatever I can draw on paper, I'd rather draw it in with CA.... Radius_Corners_01.plan

Do you have the same issue when you test it on your end? Maybe you could post a link?
-
Unless I am missing something, I suspect this will not work in versions previous to X12?

OR.... pertaining to house prices - what is the price per ft²?

In Saved Text Styles, edit the Room Label Style. Of course, you could copy it first and tweak it for your current project and revert back anytime.

Foundation-Slab on Grade with brick ledge
rwdozier replied to 31Construction's topic in General Q & A
Hint... In Wall Types, define the wall and set your brick ledge height there. -
PS, or.... Build Roof, Edit All Roof Planes, Frieze....
-
Roof Plane Specification, Frieze and add your selection of Molding Profiles.
-
Highlight the text THEN change the text to the height you desire.

That's awesome! Oh, the power of CA!

Try placing a marker on layout page zero and then you can point to point move anything to that marker.

Thanks guys! This method meets my needs well. And yes, I always consult with an engineer for any concerns. Thanks again.

Ok, Thanks!

Am I missing something about intersecting wall doorways? Framing seems to be ok, but I still have something in the doorway in 3D view. Thank you. Untitled 1.pdf Untitled 1.plan
