Apple’s strategy is to develop its processors in-house. They no longer use NVIDA and will move away from AMD. Not sure how long before its GPU will be on par with NVIDA or AMD. BTW, Lenovo has a laptop with an NVIDA 2070 RTX or Desktop at Newegg with a 3070 for right around $2k.

Gene, you might also open your flat ceiling and uncheck "use room ceiling finish" - it seems to remove the cross hatch. -

scottharris replied to GeneDavis's topic in General Q & A
Larry, the detail is done in Chief. The callouts/arrows were added in the section view using the callout tool. You can see this in the video at around the 18:30 mark. Glad you commented! -

Attached is a wall that is a moment frame from the Lake Point sample plan. It uses I-beams and has been engineered. It’s on pg. 12 of the layout if you want a closer look. There’s also a detailed video in the playlist for the framing. -

X12 upgrade installation problems on Mac OS10
scottharris replied to k2ski3's topic in General Q & A
Be sure you have Mac OS Mojave or Catalina. Refer to the Mac OS system requirements here: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/products/sysreq.html You can give our Tech Support a call M-F 7am-5pm for further help -
These half walls should have a cap on them without needing to make additional changes. You might open your plan in X12 and see if the problem is resolved in the newer version; although it should also be fine in X11. Consider posting your plan.

The Bachelor View Project was developed as a sample plan for Chief Architect version X12. Why the name 'Bachelor View' ? It has a view of Mt. Bachelor in the Cascade mountains.
