Switching to the Mac OS is a big change. If you are comfortable with PC, that might be a good choice (and less expensive) We just bought 10 new laptops that work well – from Costco $900. Lenovo Y520, 16 GB memory, Nvida 4GB. Here’s a link: https://www.costco.com/Lenovo-LEGION-Y520-Gaming-Laptop---Intel-Core-i7---4GB-NVIDIA-Graphics---1080p.product.100347159.html

Here is a response on the 'why' for discontinuing the hardware lock security option
-
Chief Architect discontinued the hardware lock option for the following reasons: -the technology is significantly outdated. It was offered as one of our first security options in the early 1990’s. The software security lock began replacing it about 10 years ago. As of today, more than 99.9% of the customers use the software lock option -the cost for developing a future hardware lock given the outdated technology was significant – to the point where much of the engineering team would have sacrificed new development . The company therefore made the choice that it was best to support only the software lock security model We do apologize to those that have been accustomed to the hardware security option and hope the reasons above help to explain the “why” behind our change.

Make joist header ext. finish same as ICF foundation finish
scottharris replied to bradak60's topic in General Q & A
If I understand what you are looking for in the attached image and plan, you can build your floor framing automatically; then, manually adjust: 1) move your rim joist in 1.5” and trim the floor joists accordingly 2) copy that rim joist and move it the outside and change the material to rigid insulation 3) you will need to relocate the sill plate 4) do the CAD detail to match your pdf - that may require a "CAD Detail From View" from the section camera Foundation-Floor.plan -

Bumping & Pushing can be toggled on/off by using F11. Sometimes I hit that key and don't realize it.

For the knee or rake wall you could use a polyline solid

Currently the chrome book is not supported on the 3D Viewer app. Google keeps making refinements to Android and Chrome and if it becomes a merged OS then, yes.

Has he tried using the Chief Architect 3D Viewer App? It's a free app that reads Chief Architect files directly from the cloud account. Clients or Subs can then view the files on tablets and phones. chiefarchitect.com/products/3d-viewer/
