Thanks Mick, sorry I thought they were talking battered walls. Sloping wider at the bottom.

First turn on inner dims. You have changed the name of some dims, so it' difficult to tell what you are doing.
-
How does that work using doors and windows?
-
light intensity (lumens) does matter for energy calculations and if you might export to rescheck.

The error is probably the user who sent you the plan

Call it a porch in the room type box , then change the name of the room to whatever you need
-
I use a Logitech mx master, works great and you can hookup via usb or Bluetooth wirelessly. It is a bit pricy (100) though.
-
no way to change it that I know about, but we have been working on it ,with suggestions to Chief.

I will run into trusses about 30% of the time, mostly conventional for me. Any bearing walls on the 2nd and above floors will usually have beams under
-
Thanks Graham, that's all good to know and very insightful. Even though i haven't had any problems, i am now changing my lights from 100 to 40 which is more than enough for me

I also still put them under all parallel walls bearing or not. just b/c walls weigh more than not.
-
That used to be the code to put dbl. flr. jsts. under a wall. don't remember what year code people changed it.

Thanks for doing the video, you do it so much better than I, and much faster . I use a 30 x 42 more often than anything else other than 24x36, sometimes 36x48 also, my clients hate that and want me to cut the plan in half, which I will not do. A smaller scale might work but gets too hard to read, Heck they want me to increase the text size as it is. They are all getting old. like me

How do I now resize a view sent to layout in X10?
DRAWZILLA replied to adventhomes's topic in General Q & A
You can also hit the "x" key while dragging a corner. Same with text -
Scott made a video back then but it would still apply today if he still has it.
-
Scott, joe and I have been doing it since 2005. just add to your existing layout template
-
Hey Scott, do you still have your marvelous waterfall video for Kevin.
-
In your layout you can create a new layout on page 0 and the, size you need ,and put it on a specified layer so next time all you need to do is change layers to get the new layout.
-
Yes, I'm always fixing those slab room labels, It takes time to do it especially if you have lots of interior footings, lots of rooms to fix, so I set the interior room footings as no definition
-
Haven't seen that and I use Chief x10 every day, not sure why that would screw up for you,
-
Make sure "To scale" is checked in the print DBX. Also make sure you sent it at 1/4" scale to the layout.
