Electical Outlet In Elevation View, Turn 90 Deg?
DRAWZILLA replied to ACADuser's topic in General Q & A
Joey, Orange county, That's where most of my work is, I've done over 4000 projects there over the last 40 years. Your a neighbor. Have you been there long, we also have a few others here. -
Did you open the pdf and check save in plan? I save all my pdf's in the plan file but if you don't make sure you check this.

Trusses will delete any stick built framing automatically so you will have to do it manually. There is also a bug where mixing stick built framing on a second floor over trusses will delete some of the trusses below. I told chief about this several versions ago. The answer is to do it manually. You may have to fake some section views with cad lines and p-lines to look correct.

Try the room wizard, that's a quick way to get started with the layout. Its in the space planning section of tools

I'll bet he is still wondering how anyone did this. teach a man to fish thing. -
If you leave that gap between walls don't forget to call it a room, of some kind (I call them Closets, so its included in the S.F. ) or your square footage and foundation will not be correct.

Yes you are Scott, and you can go first in the door, I'll bring up the rear. It depends where his office is.

The first thing I do around here is check the parking requirements. That can make all the difference with the design.

Lew I didn't ask him to use another program for other uses. I simply said have you tried. Simple as that. Why do you always want a fight about which program is best, let me guess, you use it. Other people have different setups, while one program may work one your machine it may have conflicts on another.

Have you tried Chief's built in PDF tool??

I like to use the new wall material region tool for the walls in a shower or tub, then the glass wall stays as is. You can customize the tile any way you want.

I agree with Scott, that little program has worked Great. In Windows 8 the program tells you it wont work but it still does. It's the only thing for all those standard garage doors that Chief has never addressed ,ever. I think it covers every standard door available today. I just wish the program was updated for todays windows versions, but it still works with a little TLC. I should try the compatibility mode. -
So Where Is The Layer Ceiling Break Line?
DRAWZILLA replied to Gary_Swanson's topic in General Q & A
Scott I think defpoints and the zero layers are relics from a previous dwg import in the past, b/c you use the S.A.M. method, they never get erased. I would like to know what that Zero does though. There are a few in the framing section that also don't get a plus sign.
