  1. How to make an electrical layout page that doesn't make my other layout pages show electrical. Ver x14
  2. That fixed it. For some reason I decided to use soffits. Thanks so much for your help.
  3. Here is the plan again to look at. I built the porch with walls and made them invisible. I've done this same thing with all other versions of chief and this is the first time this has happen. Hanna Remodel plan B3 Move fireplace north.zip
  4. On the front porch all the columns should be 6x6. For some reason some of them change to 2x6 and I can't figure out what is causing this. On one of them I clicked on the wall and turned off no locate but that didn't work for others. Seens like a bug to me. I'm using x14. Hanna Remodel plan B3 Move fireplace north.zip
  5. X12 When importing an image into the library background no matter if I send it upright or upside down the image ends up always upside down. I followed the instructions in the knowledge base on how to do it. I would like to have the image in a perspective view. Would someone please explain what I am doing wrong?
  6. Yes I picked that particular tile just because of the color. I am opening the room specification and under walls select material. I am using sprout 322 then click on plan materials and edit. Under pattern I picked grid 1/2 offset. Under texture I checked keep pattern/texture in sync and to the right of the x scale there it shows a pic of the tile. I noticed that does not change to the pattern I picked. No matter what pattern I pick it doesn't change and so the camera view never changes. I just would like someone to tell me the right method to do this. I just want to go to the dal-tile catalog and pick a tile and apply it to the shower wall and use whatever pattern I choose.
  7. Using X12 I have a shower wall that I applied a dal-tile from the catalog. How do you get that tile to change to the pattern you want like brick. No matter what I try to do it stays the same pattern. What am I missing here or what video do I need to watch? Tracy plan.plan
  8. How do you set up a roof overview to send to the layout that shows only lines no shingles. And how do I put cross hatch on the existing roof leaving the remodel with no pattern? I can turn off patterns in layer display and if I refresh my layout it will drop the shingles but the plan itself still has the shingles showing. When I select a section of the roof and change the fill nothing happens. I'm missing something here probably simple, but what is it?
  9. What's the best way to put a brick edge around a curved concrete patio edge? Using x10
  10. Just opening the plan in x10 brought all their walls types with it. Is there a proper way to do this so I can use my walls types.
  11. Thanks so much for responding. I've attached the patio cover I created in a separate plan just to figure out how to do it. But when I move it into the existing house plan I'm working on I can't get it to look like this with out messing up the existing plan. When looking at it in perspective framing view I can see all the steel just like I want. But when using perspective full overview the walls come back and I can't see the steel. I need to know how to create this the correct way so I can use it with the existing plan. Metal frame.plan
  12. I need to draw a patio cover just like this picture with steel rafters and purlins with wood on the underside of a metal roof. I tried drawing it separate with just framing showing and moved it into the plan but then the walls show up. Then when I get rid of the walls all the walls in the entire plan disappear. Anybody have any thoughts on how to do this?
  13. I need to draw a structure made of steel I-beams and columns like in the pic. I have never used steel before and I'm having trouble figuring this out. Is there a video I should look at or could someone tell me the basic's of what to do to use steel components. I need to be able to use steel for the rafters and set a pitch. Any help at all would be appreciated.
