  1. Yes but if you have a window in the middle of a wall break, you are going to rebuild the whole wall anyway. I'd show it as it really is. Your doing it the hard way.
  2. I never have that problem-ever, so there must be something else wrong with the plan. I break walls all the time without losing room def.
  3. If you want to adjust the walls of a bay just build it using walls instead of using an auto bay window.
  4. the height needs to be higher than 0" for it to be blank at the windows, so it crosses them.
  5. Did you convert the p-line to a molding p-line. It also shows some of the lines inside the wall and not on the face of the drywall.
  6. I just break the wall and change it to match the front, you can break it exactly where you want it.
  7. Wow , that one big ego. How could you possibly know what experience or schooling anyone here has or doesn't have, or even professional license's one has. You assume a lot.
  8. so simple it's overlooked, but posting the plan solved it.
  9. Check out Scott's answer to your question. Post it so we can look at it.
  10. Never done a DIY project, not sure what you mean. Do it yourself doesn't have anything to do with design.
  11. Try playing around with the "EDIT WALL INTERSECTION TOOL"
  12. If any of you remember, back years ago here in Calif. the Architectural license board decided to Grandfather all building designers to full Architect status, without having to take any test, it was automatic, I didn't at that time b/c I wasn't a member of the building designers group which involved a yearly fee. Forgot what it was called. I thought it was a waste of money at the time. I did have a lot of friends that did get Grandfathered, what a mistake that was, Some of them had to hire plans out b/c they couldn't do it.
  13. As it is, I also have to re-do a lot of Architect plans as they are just too expensive and the client has wasted thousands of dollars on something they couldn't use.
  14. Johnny Like I said , it goes both ways. People should just be aware of who they choose no matter who is doing it.
  15. Come on Joe you know that's just a play on words, I can advise anyone on any level of building design, just not allowed to use the A word. I have designed and advised custom homes and additions legally for 40 years.
  16. I'm talking about the license to design, not needed. I've seen very nicely done projects, done by un-licensed people. And yes building design can be done by anyone, didn't say it was nicely done or not, that could also apply to Architects. You took those statements out of context.
  17. You probably don't need an Architect unless you want one. I have been doing plans in the most regulated areas in the country for 40 years without being an architect. building design can be done by anyone including yourself. Architect's always try to scare everyone.
  18. Rule#1 , Always download these free programs, from the original source, not a secondary source. You probably agreed to it, somewhere along the line. If you were on a PC then I could clean it. Ccleaner might be able to do it, or your anti-virus might do it. Windows has a not widely known program called (MRT) Malicious Software removal tool. Just hit, Run: mrt at the dos prompt . Windows updates this every month.
  19. I agree, your system just should not be that slow with that Xeon processor, and as we all know raytracing is all about the processor.
