  1. Why would anyone want to show posts on the foundation plan that are 2 floors up that probably set on beams ,that have their own posts below.
  2. Yes but most people can't seem to get thru the Acrobat security features. And if someone has the knowledge to go beyond that, good for them. Take it. Nothing I do is worth it anyway.
  3. We are the elite ones. No one can match our standards
  4. No extra money, they haven't changed it this year or the last few years.
  5. Joe did you double pay last year? ok you must have a different date you started.
  6. I have paid the SSA every year and not sure they raised any prices, they have just discounted if you pay early and it used to be by the end of the year. I pretty sure they have just changed the date for the higher price and moved it back to Jan 12th.
  7. It seems SSA is on sale right now and goes up 50 bucks if you wait until Jan 12th.
  8. What about dimensions and fractions?
  9. Not me , at this stage in my life, I just don't want to learn a new system.
  10. I can create "PDF's that when sent, they cannot copy or print using Adobe Acrobat. you can also put them on Adobe's server and that will tell you who downloaded it and when, you can also make it available only when you want. There are other programs out there that will delete the file automatically on their computer on a date you choose without anyone's knowledge. That program is a bit expensive though.
  11. Anything deep fried is good to me but the flight to your house might blow the budget.
  12. Bill, I tried that, did your have the overbuild remain, what's the secret. Also what version.
  13. I hardly ever use trusses, I do show existing trusses when present but my cheap builder clients would never want to truss build, ever.
  14. Greg ,here we call it California overbuild framing an it's done a lot. In fact , that's the only way you can build it here without putting in extra beams. Weather you put a beam in or not, won't make any difference here. Chief isn't that smart. I still think its a bug.
  15. Downloaded it and it's a tough one ,looks like a bug. send it in I tried separating the roof planes, not sure what it is. maybe someone else can do it. Should be something easy if it isn't a bug. Scott I see it in X7 Good it works in an apple machine.
  16. Yes, what Joe said. You might have to adjust things after though.
  17. Without downloading, looks like an attic wall that just isn't filling in. Just try to drag it to the end. you could also balloon frame the lower wall to fill that in
  18. I always set up the site plan as one of the first things I do, and never move the house, just the property line which is a cad box so very easy to move by changing the dimension's. Same with a new house.
  19. Here is an overview of reference sets http://screencast.com/t/78WcvboE
  20. I save all catalog items to a folder on my desktop along with updates but you can always re-download them anytime you want, as long as your "SSA" is paid up.
  21. To me ,it seems moving the house can cause major problems and just moving the terrain is so much easier if you want live. If someone wants to move that stuff around, use the Plan Footprint.
  22. You mean 24" from corners and 48" o.c.? Try it and see. I think it does but I usually manually place them Sorry, I was thinking kitchens.
  23. The white strip on the outside of the post to beam wall is the exterior finish of the wall you used, just change the wall type to a fence, or move the slab an inch further out by using a p-solid slab and removing the floor in the porch room.
  24. Using a reference set in the site plan is very important to me, b/c I like to show the roofs (all story's) on it. Here we have to show all overhangs on the site plan and how far they are to the property lines for fireproofing the eaves if needed. Also some cities count the overhang as lot coverage.
