  1. Michael, Do I still need to cut the p-line to have it not display .b/c I have added a lot of new macro's to your system, and will it not show in the tabulation area. Sometimes on smaller jobs, I have a lot of zeros in that box.
  2. Jon, you can make any room a living area or not in the room DBX
  3. it is the absolute zero being too far from the plan here is the fix Lynch, Stephanie 5717 Moser Farm Rd PROPOSED CJW fixed.plan
  4. no, is it marked living in the room DBX
  5. What version of Chief are you using? and if you can post the plan , it would keep people from guessing
  6. Jon maybe your garage room is marked living or you didn't use the living area polyline
  7. The only thing I can think of is to bring it into X8,fix it up, then X9.
  8. Great idea-Scott this is another thing that macros could handle. New and existing attic;s. Also different roof's (tile, compo., metal, have different size vents, so the number might change, I use Ohagens vents
  9. doesn't matter, they way I do it, does both
  10. I deleted my "Migrate folders" without any problems
  11. Sometimes I go up to the second floor, or create one if there isn't, and just create a no rail deck--builds perfectly and all adjustable. I hate doing 2x2 lattice so just do it in the decking DBX
  12. Yes use a template plan for all your basic settings. You'll never have to set them again.
  13. Chief's "print to PDF" creates very large files, sometimes to big to send
  14. What I really want to know is, who tickled you , is there something going on in your office?
  15. For me printing to PDF has got a lot slower in each new version, but it does work.
  16. as long as they are rooms it will find the levels
  17. My title 24 guy just takes it off the floor plan and with Joes header macro you can adjust exactly what to show on the floor plan.
  18. I have set up my remodeling template plans to have all the existing items not to show up in any schedules. When I start the as-builts ,everything is existing, then when done do a save as -existing, then start the new and change everything over to new, including new walls, windows, doors , cabinets, etc. The schedules just fill out automatically. Everything for new and existing is already in my remodeling template plan.
  19. I just didn't get it, one of those days, I guess
  20. some macro's are only good for X9 but most are good in X8
  21. remember ,for the soffit problem ,to rebuild your roof planes with each change, unless you have auto roof framing on.
  22. or just use a balloon frame wall, that's how they would build it.
