solver,

1) All the walls that are dark black on floor plan are new walls in the remodeling.

2) the right side 3'4: added on side is new addition and new roof at 3:12 sloping into existing 7:12 roof.

3) rear Master Bedroom new walls extends out and is new shed roof at 2:12 slope and slopes up into 7:12 roof.that was to f.p. wall.

4) front porch is 2'10" bigger in front of existing dining

5) attached are a few pics of existing. I could not get living to coffer to 10' height.

Hope all is well and healthy with you Solver.

Thanks,

Newell

Nice, Eric.  Now hire the Einstein of roof cutters to frame it.

I gave it a shot...but I agree with comments above.  Start from scratch...this roof is a disaster.  Here's my plan file if you want to see what I did...Designer100 - Plan Fix Roof 01.zip
@Designer100 Newel - I didn't see your design comments above so this may not work for you.

Also...there are a lot of little things wrong with the plan also.  Walls that don't align....etc.  I also fixed the tray ceiling.

That looks better than I ever thought it could, but I think I'd eliminate that weird floating half-gable and just hip that to match the original roof.

@StephenGreene - agreed. I only put the gable there because it was on the original plan.  But - the hip is a big improvement
