CJSpud
Nice job .... can't imagine the time you have probably put into that roof design (trusses and roof framing) for your project.
Chopsaw
Shane, Are those truss plates that I can see in your 3D illustrations? My version does not seem to do that. Whats up? Is that from the truss company?

For weeks I would sit in my lazy boy with TV on and laptop open with this project displayed. Plus hours of computer time too, but I do enjoy the challenge. I did not design home, but I have designed the building of the home. All framing and roof design are mine, originally this house was going to have insu-deck concrete floors and contractor was 2 yrs out so homeowners (I built original house for them in 1994) contacted me. Architects visited project 3 weeks ago for a walk through and they made me feel like a rock star, lol. I have been a Design/Build Contractor since 1984 and hope to keep rolling for many more years. Medeek
Amazing roof, amazing trusses. The images up top are the final output from the manufacturer using Mitek software or something equivalent? The polar array of trusses that top the turrets are really something else. I would love to roll this 3D model around in SketchUp for a couple of hours just to study the trusses and how they are designed and come together to form the roof.
