jonboy
Can anyone tell me were I can find this in x9 Thanks
MarkMc
Not going to be in the library. I have a double, front to back, and a plan (from testing) that shows how to do it. I'm in Orlando now, can post it when back, Saturday. In the meantime check 3D warehouse to see if that model is available. If not kept me know make and model (rev-a-shelf, etc) and see if I can dig up something (early next week)
GeneDavis
I don't care about 3D, but want it in the 2D plan and elevation, plus the schedule. Izzat possible?
jonboy
Why would (Jen) shows this pull out in one of the views in the new X9 features if is not in Chief somewhere ?
Joe_Carrick
Maybe it's in the Library, maybe not. -or- It could be in the X9 Final Release but not in the X9 Beta. We just won't know until ..................

Go to Rev-A-Shelf.com , you can download entire catalog as dwg, have to create a free user account first.
joey_martin
FWIW I chance the door to a drawer and label my interior elevation. You can select to have to drawer match the door properties as well.
DMDesigns
We got those, in our symbol section. I'm loving this new X9.. Mine are appliances that you apply to the base cabinet. One Click. I have both a single bin and double. Best of all shows up closed on the floor plan and open in the 3D view. And of course you can reverse that if needed. http://www.chieftutor.net/symbols-page-4.html Enjoy - Dave
Joe_Carrick
Dave, Can the Door/Drawer Style on them be changed?

Joe_Carrick
That's what I thought Do you have the pullouts available without the Fronts or would I need to use the Delete Surface Tool to get to that point?
DMDesigns
I do - Here is the Rev-A-Shelf Symbol and Parts.. This works in Chief X8 and up, as well as the latest Home Designer Pro version. Dave X8RevAShelfTrashBins.calibz
jonboy
Great thanks for the trash bin ... but I still want to know why Chief would show something in the new features of X9 if is not in a library somewhere
Joe_Carrick
Thanks DM. I went to 3D Warehouse and downloaded them earlier. My Plan is to keep a Plan with the Pullouts that I can add Door Symbols to and create whatever Door Symbol I need. With the y-origin offset set properly they will show open or closed perfectly as a Drawer.

DMDesigns
Well, actually I believe I asked for it back on Version 10..! But no not lately.
Joe_Carrick
Since we now have the ability to show Drawers open in Plan and 3D it would be a lot easier for them to do. I've also requested that Pullout Trays should look more realistic both in 3D and in Sections.
jonboy
I think that would be great .... But are you not curious were chief got theirs from and why show something that may not be in chief core catalogs ... bugs the sh__ out of me
GeneDavis
The question I have is how is this treated in 2D? I've no interest in showing a client a 3D view, but want the supplier and installer to know where to put the accessory. Our kitchens come with the Rev A Shelf type accessories uninstalled. MarkMc
I asked at the Chief booth, there will be a Rev-A-Shelf catalog (mfg) "soon", exists just not ready. Pull outs like this will NOT pull out "as supplied " in current version. Not hard to hack into a functioning drawer symbol (I did this in testing)

MarkMc
We don't show them in 2d. If trash pullout is a "standard" per the brand the label will indicate that, if other we put it in the mod code. In either case it is commented, we use a second plan with all cabinet comments most times, others comments column is in the schedule. (using the new field in the OIP either way)
Alaskan_Son
Here's Dave's symbols being used in conjunction with Chief's new ability to show drawers opened and closed. It would really be nice if we had the additional controls I go over in the video...
